That’s what I was thinking, but them being super motivated wasn’t at all what got us beat. We matched their effort, and the crowd wasn’t a huge factor. We just made too many mistakes and they didn’t.

I. Glad we competed and I get the coaches not trusting the wrs to win the 1 on 1s vs high end talent, because guess what? They didn’t they were hella inconsistent

I'm going to say bull**** to that moral victory crap.

Do you know why those teams used to collapse? They had been there before and they kept seeing the same **** done while having a lack of leadership from above.

I don't know what changed last year with Manny's team mid to late, but they kept playing while under him before they'd collapse. They started buying in or something changed and er all saw it. They competed four quarters.

You're going to see that eventually with this staff if we keep playing this way. We didn't play to win as evidenced by going for 3. We didn't even attempt passes into the endzone while we were close, it was a joke.

Nothing they did inspired confidence yesterday. That wasn't a loaded roster right now, it will be in years to come, but it was still young and green, even depleted.

You're a good poster, call it fair, but you're trying to pull the wool over your eyes on this one. Trying to rationalize uninspiring play, mostly on offense, that we've seen so far this year.

Last year's team mid to late would've won this game. That doesn't mean they were a better team, but they played to win. We didn't do that, I'm not sure what the plan was. Play it close, trust the process, and don't get blown out? A&M won't be blowing anyone out. We played their game, not ours and that's a problem from above.

I’m a roster guy so I expected a loss. I looked at our wrs and OL and said no way we win, I said that days before the game. The OL surprisingly held their own and the wrs just are not high end draft guys. I wouldn’t draft any wr with a 1st 2nd or 3rd pick but that’s just me. We had mental errors but that ain’t on the coach Stevenson chose that muff on his own, we played well considering the years of getting wiped I games like this. I expect three to maybe five losses based on roster, but I’m glad to see the next class with absolute monsters coming in. A few of those and that’s when we ball, just like Kirby said our players are better than Oregon players. It’s about talent when y’all figure that out these games will be easier to watch.

How TVD responds will be huge. This is the first major stretch of adversity he's faced here. For once, he's a problem and not the other way around. I've got faith that he will figure it out.

the problem is the scheme. coaches aren't coaching to their personnel. no one from the receivers to the QBs can perform well in this offense.

That was a huge play, no doubt. But it was the first quarter of a game that was tight for 4 quarters. M

We had a zillion opportunities after the muff over the course of hours of football and took advantage of exactly none of them.

The muff is just heart breaking bc I feel like every big game we play we muff one haha I still can’t shake JT4 muffing the Florida game away I was at the game

Nah. They're trash, they didn't sleep through AppSt and have a wake up call; they still suck. We just played to lose and not a single player could make a play on offense.

This was not like Bama last year or those good Clemson teams. Some of you need to stop looking at recruiting rankings and watch some games...

They fkn suck, that O is trash. Thats why they lost to Ap State and why they will win maybe 4 more games if they are lucky. They a 6-6 team.

Me and some of my friends have discussed this. It felt like we were playing to keep it close , not win. I never felt like we were trying to go take this game. Like staying close and extending the game was the goal.

I’ll push back a bit and say it depends on what part of the game you’re talking about. When we got down two scores he played to get to OT. Down one score he was chipping away. First drive 2nd quarter. That was when I thought he was way too conservative. I would’ve like to see us run more in the red zone as well.

JT4... catch vs FSU (and what he did to them for 2yrs) between 2 defenders kept that drive alive or we lose....JTs PR vs VT beat them....
JT was the ONLY Cane who did anything vs LSU...He made their Elite secondary look pedestrian...So while he did muff a punt vs UF....he did more than TS has done.

You coach to the talent you have at the moment, not the talent you will have one day. 3 to 5 losses, paying what they're getting paid that means some aren't earning those checks and can't coach their way out of a wet paper bag.

All that talent on A&M is young, roster wise. They're largely green and unproven. Roster wise, it wasn't a game we get wiped in. They aren't anything special at the moment. Fully 1/3rd of their roster is there for the first time this year. Way more than half are in the second or first year.

Players need to be held accountable and coaches need to do a better job of setting them up for success with what they can do. Just one week before, a team we beat last year, beat them with far lesser talent and a roster that doesn't even compare. They then needed a miracle and got one with the Hail Mary to beat Troy. No, that A&M team isn't good and we couldn't score one TD against their depleted secondary. That's a joke.

Saban lost his first year till studs got there that’s why I expected losses the roster not right. People think it’s right that’s the fans problem not mine. Our wrs are trash that has been true for awhile. No big school that sends number one wrs to the draft really fought or wanted any of our guys. I didn’t see those type of schools fighting tooth n nail for not even one.

My point was being I feel like we muff too many punts. Think George Muffed 2 in 1 game last year lol almost rather never catch a punt if it’s within 15 yards of the goal line
