My Thoughts

We have one, but he's not ready yet. I think we should get another though of course. I think a mobile QB works with this kind of offense.
This O reminds me at least running wise of what Louisville ran with Lamar. He seemed to always be in that pistol. Although I’m sure they were much less complex outside throwing it. Which we should be.

That’s right. We had no chance to sneak up on them and obviously we needed that. The entire stadium was willing the Aggies to save their season.
Just felt like their season was on the line and ours wasn’t and they had to have it and they played like it. Our guys played tough but I mean TS8 really made a stupid ******* play and that was the difference

Agree with everything OP.

Extremely disappointed in our WR room. One thing to not have the juice to create separation but the run blocking was terrible on the perimeter.

I know 15 and 0 have some talent and are coming but 5 and 83 should play and we should be telling recruits to take their snaps.

On defense 8 played great. The refs allowed the corners to play physical and no ticky tack PI’s were called. Let 8 play bump and run. This off man stuff is not getting the best out of him.

Shout out 11. And 56 just makes plays. Wow.

Me and some of my friends have discussed this. It felt like we were playing to keep it close , not win. I never felt like we were trying to go take this game. Like staying close and extending the game was the goal.

If it works out then it looks genius because the other team has no time on the clock.

I don’t hate hanging around the game until the final possession if you go for it on 4th down and don’t convert them you sideline is deflated and loses hope.

Instead you can rally the troops ask your defense for one stop and go from there.

Most important thing said…”Miami should have won the game. “

When is the last time we played an SEC team and could say that. Yes, we did not win BUT we are much closer. Sorry to post something positive 😬

Tell recruits “ hey with all that talent we still had a chance to tie them at the end. Imagine if we had close to the same roster“
Jimbo has had five years to stack that team. We outgained him on both sides of the ball. ATM is going to get massacred in Tuscaloosa.

What do you want Mario to do when his WRs can’t create Separation and his QB can’t hit the broad side of a barn. And his OC runs a slow developing offense. They could’ve chucked it up and risked a big turnover and then the game is out of reach. We controlled the clock and possession. If it wasn’t for Tyriques miscue we’d maybe be taking about a 13-10, 17-10 win in our direction

This was a grind it out game, even Jimbo with more talented players was calling it conservative

You don’t know what would’ve happened if TS doesn’t muff that punt. A&M closed up shop after it was 17-3. They knew the game was over and so did we. So just stop trying to psyche yourself out. Our OC and HC reps with offense is unfolding and nobody wants to at the very least be concerned. It’s make excuses for the coaches hour per usual. You do know what rival coaches are telling wr’s right? And they look right.

If Nick Saban can open his mind to more spread friendly concepts. Mario sure a *** should too. At least show recruits what could be… I have to say though, you Warned us about the WR room. If we have Zay or Worthy, we might win that sht by two scores.

Too much talk on here about moral victories and keeping it close against a more talented team. Well aTm is perennial 8-4 and just lost to App State. This was not a good loss. The offense, and particularly the receivers, were abysmal. Need a reset.

I didn't entertain that "Mario is the reason Herbert was so limited at Oregon" talk until last night. It can work in theory but that methodology on offense isn't good for TVD, or any QB, if you don't have Bama or UGA's talent like @Empirical Cane said on the last page. Georgia did an end-around with a TE and it worked LOL! Tailor the offense to what your best talent does best.

It seems so simple too. Everywhere I go we can run the ball but I can never get the most out of my QB, maybe I should offer Lebby or Briles another mil so I don't have to worry about that? Those guys never have the best talent but their offenses are always great. Nah, I want to imitate what Bama does to a T without Bama talent so let's hire another Sa-bro.

Bama just had a Heisman qb, and a receiver before that. Bama has evolved to a pass first team.
