I know a lot of people are making things out to seem like Richt's offense is straight garbage. Everyone should take a step back and look at what the offense really is as a whole.
The offense, while boring and predictable, isn't Richt's true offense. It's Thomas Brown's.
Thomas Brown, whether people want to believe it or not, is the man responsible for the majority of our offensive woes. He has implemented his offense with the pistol setback look that we've seen pretty much all season long. Richt has never ran this kind of offense in his coaching career and I think it's clear that Richt is trying his best to stay loyal to Thomas Brown by saving his reputation claiming that CMR is calling the plays.
The real issue behind this offense is THOMAS BROWN! This man may be a great recruiter, but he has no idea what he's doing in terms of creating an offensive system and has had virtually zero experience not just with play calling, but orchestrating a high octane offense his entire coaching career.
It's very sad that Richt has not realized he put Thomas Brown way in over his head. I'm not sure why people haven't talked about this more, but Richt being loyal to a fault for his guy(Thomas Brown) is the same exact thing Golden did with his boy Dorito.
Until Richt has the balls to admit publicly and internally that Thomas Brown is not capable of developing an offensive system at the University of Miami, we are in for a very sad time as Miami fans.
With all of that being said, Richt's biggest fault may be how he lets politics influence the product we see on the field. The fact that he won't give Jarren a try is nothing short of a catastrophe. The fact that the defensive players(Shaq & Co.) according to Papa Shaq all said a while ago that they thought Cade was the best QB to lead this team to victory, yet Richt has never given Cade a fair chance to play!
Yes, I understand Cade has had his fair share of issues off the field. BUT, CMR at the very least needs to give Cade a chance on the field because sometimes in life you need to be shown the light to be able to make changes in your daily life. These are the kids of 2018, not the 90's!
The overall message is we need to give Cade and/or Jarren a chance before we just pretend like N'Kosi is the only young QB that is "ready" behind Malik.
