I know a lot of people are making things out to seem like Richt's offense is straight garbage. Everyone should take a step back and look at what the offense really is as a whole.

The offense, while boring and predictable, isn't Richt's true offense. It's Thomas Brown's.

Thomas Brown, whether people want to believe it or not, is the man responsible for the majority of our offensive woes. He has implemented his offense with the pistol setback look that we've seen pretty much all season long. Richt has never ran this kind of offense in his coaching career and I think it's clear that Richt is trying his best to stay loyal to Thomas Brown by saving his reputation claiming that CMR is calling the plays.

The real issue behind this offense is THOMAS BROWN! This man may be a great recruiter, but he has no idea what he's doing in terms of creating an offensive system and has had virtually zero experience not just with play calling, but orchestrating a high octane offense his entire coaching career.

It's very sad that Richt has not realized he put Thomas Brown way in over his head. I'm not sure why people haven't talked about this more, but Richt being loyal to a fault for his guy(Thomas Brown) is the same exact thing Golden did with his boy Dorito.

Until Richt has the balls to admit publicly and internally that Thomas Brown is not capable of developing an offensive system at the University of Miami, we are in for a very sad time as Miami fans.

With all of that being said, Richt's biggest fault may be how he lets politics influence the product we see on the field. The fact that he won't give Jarren a try is nothing short of a catastrophe. The fact that the defensive players(Shaq & Co.) according to Papa Shaq all said a while ago that they thought Cade was the best QB to lead this team to victory, yet Richt has never given Cade a fair chance to play!

Yes, I understand Cade has had his fair share of issues off the field. BUT, CMR at the very least needs to give Cade a chance on the field because sometimes in life you need to be shown the light to be able to make changes in your daily life. These are the kids of 2018, not the 90's!

The overall message is we need to give Cade and/or Jarren a chance before we just pretend like N'Kosi is the only young QB that is "ready" behind Malik.

Are you fcking nuts? This is al all over again. It's not his fault because it's the other guy's offense?

When you're the HC, everything is yours. The offense and defense are yours because it's your responsibility to fix them if they aren't working. ST? That's on you too. I don't care who calls plays or comes up with the theory behind sht, the HC is responsible. He hired these guys and said they could do the job. If they can't, that's his fault and he better get about fixing it.

I gave Richt the benefit of the doubt for years, and even I know this is on Richt 100%.

Now you want to lay this at the feet of Thomas Brown. That's ridiculous. Thomas Brown does not call these plays. This is Mark Richt's offense.

Thomas Brown absolutely should NOT be an OC here regardless if this is his offense or not. **** having a first time coordinator at Miami. That **** should be for the lesser schools.

Secondly what has Thomas Brown actually done as a recruiter? Get guys that were gunna come here no matter what? Sorry but we don't need a top RB coach to get studs at the position.

Either he takes a pay cut and demotion or he should walk. Simple.

I never said it wasn't CMR fault. It's all his fault he's the HC. My point was that the problem boils down to him being too loyal to TB and thinking he would be a good OC trying to help him jumpstart his career!

@calinative I think Brown is a good recruiter because he landed Lingard considering Tweed has backed that up saying neither Davis/Lingard would be here without him. He also has us Franklin, Crowley and hopefully Chaney. Maybe I'm wrong on that, but I do believe Tweed has backed that up and I think he would know more than all of us.

And people here are screaming for ken dorsey for OC lol. QB coach is a whole different ball game though. Take that in a heartbeat

Ok Mark, don't you have a game to plan for?

Don't read these boards.... you might actually learn something new from the last 29 years...

Very doubtful imo. Tweed may have said that but is it for sure true really?

Like if we had some other RBcoach theres no chance we land them? Thats honestly ridiculous imo. At the end of the day we have a rich RB tradition. That alone will land studs. We have never not had great RBs, regardless if we're elite or trash. Thomas Brown isn't gunna change that.
