Any 4th and manageable situation I think Manny goes for it until Bubba could start showing he’s capable. I do think yesterday he made the wrong call going for it on 4th and 3 and should have attempted a field goal to cut it to 17-16.

What about hiring like some corporations and taking into account resume and performance instead of the bros.

Coaching is a rather small fraternity. If you're hiring a dedicated ST coach with a track record you’re choosing from relatively few people. A lot of coaches get their start on ST and move on/up to other positions.

I mean, I want to agree with you but same time Bubba hasn’t played in a long time. Is he in shape? Is he ready? How much of a difference can he really make?

I mean I know what the Star whores will say. I know what the nice headlines will try and say....but actually truth. I dunno. I have a hard time believing he’s going to be a difference maker this season.

You don't need connections to make a coaching hire. You just need to make your program attractive to them and there will always be interest. The question is whether Manny would recognize a good assistant if he saw one. I'd say it's looking rather dubious at this point.

Those are the people that were talking about 5-7-9 heading into the 2010 season, and 6-7-9 heading into the 2014 season. Trending up, the “rational” fans said!

Anyway, speaking of trending up, Manny is going to trend up from his current .000 win percentage. Well, unless he goes 0-12 anyway. In any case, he can’t trend down from his current .000.

That’s great. Gurvan may leave here a superstar but you still can’t lose that much leadership and experience and no expect a drop off.

Willis changed the game last year too.

Defense is still plenty good enough but we’ve got some guys that need to grow up fast

Hall just isn’t that good to me man. I don’t see it. He plays very timid. He is serviceable at best. I’m not sure if he is a upgrade over Knowles.

As someone pointed out yesterday that’s exactly what people said about Jaquan Johnson as well.

Not sure how his career goes from here but this assumption that a young, highly rated kid is going to just come in and immediately replace a veteran Star is the most annoying trend of this fan base. We do it every year and every position.
 
I just really hope Manny doesn't have a score to settle or want payback against any other coaches we face. He hasn't exactly exacted his revenge.
 
I don't know it's hard to tell with the secret practice and clamping down on tweets and leaks, but TEAM attitude isn't exactly impressing me, to the OP's points.

Just 1 example: When Mallory missed the catchable 2 point conversion that was so critical at the end (never mind JW had the easy run-in he somehow failed to select) it seemed he had an "oh well, I just score a TD so whats the bid deal" look, or body language. Maybe just my imagination, any experts on this out there?
