My rant...

So, since none of us are D-1 coaches we're not allowed to criticize any decision or move they make? Got it.

From now on I don't want to see your **** *** say anything negative about the coaching staff if that's how it's gonna be. You just continue dangling from their balls like they can make no mistakes because they're D-1 coaches and we're only lowly message board posters.

That's exactly right. Just because you coach high school football or watch Gameday doesn't mean you know what you're talking about. You're one of the guys who wants us to "blitz" because that's what you heard people say when you were playing in the back yard. The answer to everything is "blitz".

You've never seen me say anything negative about the coaches, so you've really set the bar high with that challenge.

LOL @ that assumption. Like i haven't spoken about schematics with MULTIPLE D-1 coaches over the years. Like i haven't picked their brains every time they talk to me about recruiting one of my players. ************, the guy i learned under was a former D-1 coordinator. The **** i run on defense are NFL and NCAA principles. Nothing i run comes from the high school level. D'Onofrio can't show or tell me anything that I'm not already familiar with. I've sat in on their coaching clinics before, ain't nothing ground breaking about it.

Keep telling yourself that while you're playing in front of 500 fans with 16 year old kids. You don't use 10% of what a college defense uses, and the fact that you think you're on par with them is what makes message boards so insufferable.

You're right, i use 100% of what they use CAUSE EVERYTHING I HAVE IS TAKEN FROM COLLEGE AND NFL COACHES.

That's how i know you're a slapdick, cause you think the **** college coaches run is ground breaking material. Any coach who's willing to pick brains and do research can run what they run on the high school level. You have nooo idea how many times I've talked to college coaches and been on the same page. You just assume that I'm a slapdick high school coach who doesn't know **** but likes to be critical of other coaches.

Instead of assuming **** like that, how about you quiz me to see what i know. Or how about you watch some film on my defense and tell me I'm not running the same level of stuff. Bet you won't do that, cause you can't for 2 reasons: You don't know enough about football to decipher what I'm running...and all the stuff you see on my film will be college and NFL material.

I think you have things confused. This is a message board. At least on this one, you're not going to discourage people from discussing football. ****, the last thing you're going to do is discourage people from attempting to discuss the substantive aspects of football.

If you don't like what WildCat (or anyone) has to say about a particular approach to playing defense (as one example), tell him why. Don't tell him he sucks. Tell him why he sucks and why his opinion is wrong. Feel free to address the subject from a substantive standpoint or feel free to go elsewhere.

Exactly. That's the difference between the people on here who know football and the people who don't.

The people who know will put me in my place and engage in actual discussions about schematics.

The people who don't will resort to the typical "you're just a high school coach" approach.

The reason why I know you're full of **** is because no high school OFFENSE runs 10% of what a college offense runs, therefore your piddly little high school team doesn't have to worry about 90% of the stuff that college defenses have to do. Against 8 of the 10 teams on your schedule you don't even have to call anything, much less have a full college-level defense at your disposal.

I think WildCat brings some of the "just a high school coach" ***** on himself because of the attitude he projects. Maybe he's a great guy in person, but he's a real dyck on message boards. I respect his knowledge of football and enjoy when he breaks down specific plays...that said, I do think he could use an infusion of common sense on some things. There's a lot of assumption and speculation in some of his analyses, which he really shouldn't be doing without knowing what the specifics of a certain play call were...which he could only know by talking to the coaches and/or players. Just my take. I have no beef with him otherwise.

That's because as a high school coach, you wouldn't understand half of what I am telling you. You have some working man's job and then go to a high school practice field. You're not exactly a trend setter.

Exactly. Dude watches it on TV and thinks he knows precisely what we should have done without having the first bit of insight as to what was actually called or designed.

Both INTs have guys coming across the middle open. Morris CHOSE to throw it to the wrong person on Walford...the right person on Coley but just threw a horrible pass. So none of that is on Coley but nice try anyways. Go back and watch if you like but Crawford came off wide open in the middle for a check down with plenty of yards to run...Morris never looked his way but instead forced it into **** near triple coverage. Explain to me how that is on Coley......don't worry....I'll wait.
*OC Coley still sucks. He was actually impressing me in the 1st half. He used the middle of the field and ****. It was successful though, so he went away from it in the 2nd half. Back to the vertical game. The 2nd pick Morris threw...yup...all verticals as usual. Oh, and I love the play-action plays on 3rd and long. That's a staple with Coley. And I can't forget the back-to-back play-action roll-out passes he called. The first one got snuffed out by the DE so hey, let's call the same play AGAIN.

More evidence that Wildcat is full of ****. Even the most basic football fan knows that the throw made by the QB isn't always the throw that was intended when the play was designed. But dude is going to come here and blame the OC. Priceless.

CaneWasher, I'm getting the vibe that Wildcat isn't your favorite poster... :ibisroflmao:

I have no idea who he/ she is and haven't noticed that screen name until today. I just love it when Johnny High School Coach and his Sunday coaches meetings with five other P.E. teachers thinks that he runs a college defense just the same that an actual top 15 program does it.

Right, because so many threads on this site dig deep into the minds of advanced football thinkers.

In the few threads that at least broach the substantive aspect, you're not going to discourage people from doing it. It's a warning given to everyone who does it. You're not being pinpointed.

It's funny you say that because our offense comes DIRECTLY FROM COLLEGE. Our OC played QB at Miami and our Head Coach and O-line coach were both coaching at Universities before they came here. The DC that was running the defense before me came directly from college as well. Before we got here the team was 2-8. Last year we were 7-3. This year it's an all new coaching staff and they're currently 0-9. Both the offense and defense were amongst the top in the county last season and this year both units are dead last. And in the 4 year span that we were here we've only had 4 scholarship athletes suit up for us. We're not exactly working with elite talent over here and we're playing in one of the hardest districts in Florida.

But yeah, you're right, we don't know what we're doing. It's not like our whole staff didn't coach or play in college or anything. LOL

I project the attitude that I know WTF I'm talking about, cause most of the time I do. Have I been wrong before? Sure. The real problem is that most casual fans get offended when someone speaks with conviction and knows their ****. The handful of people on here that football have gone toe to toe with me on subjects and THAT is what I like to see. Don't get mad at me if I talk like I know, just prove me wrong.

And what is it that YOU do? What makes you the expert?

Do you coach?

Cause if you don't, I hope you realize that you're being a hypocrite. If you don't even coach football at any level and you're sitting here and doubting MY knowledge then you're essentially doing the exact thing you're accusing me of.

Lmao @ I wouldn't understand you. Bro you couldn't tell me anything that I don't already know. And I have a feelings you won't even attempt to because something tells me you don't have the ability. I understand what college coaches and former NFL guys are talking about but CaneWasher would have me confused. LOL

I bet when you would've had Malzahm confused too right? Cause he was just a high school coach so he obviously didn't understand college schematics.

Please try me, I'm begging you.
