Deejay Dallas - 8att 39yds 1TD, 1TD PR

345yds total, 293yds rushing 2/12 on 3rd down.
Couldn't get anything going in the passing game, from the multiple drops to inaccurate overthrown balls, this passing attack is completely subpar & needs an overhaul.
Marjor props to Homer, had 2 really big time runs that pretty much created the only offensive production for most of the game. He's a very explosive tough runner that gets down the field. He's had a good career at Miami, would love to have him back for next year but if he decides to declare I wish him the best. Great player & great cane!
Great game for Deejay, that was a nice PR TD & ran the ball well in the Wildcat helping put the game away.
WR's had too many drops & struggled getting separation, they seemed to be sleepwalking most of the game. But they did a good job blocking in the run game, so at least it's something lol.
The OL was good in run blocking but they're still going to need an upgrade if this team plans on winning the Coastal in 2019.
Defense:
- Jaquan Johnson 10tcks 1FF
- Michael Pinckney 8tcks 1TFL
- Joe Jackson 6tcks 2.5sacks & 2.5TFL's
- Shaq Quarterman 6tcks 0.5sacks & 0.5TFL's
- Trajan Bandy 5tcks 1TFL 1PD & 1FR
- Sheldrick Redwine 5tcks
- Michael Jackson 4tcks 2sacks, 2TFL's
- Gerald Willis 4tcks 1sack & 1TFL
- Jon Garvin 3tcks 1.5TFL
- Romeo Finley 2tcks 1.5TFL's
- Al Blades Jr 2tcks
The Defense played inspired, they were aggressive & attacked Pitt all game long! Held Pitt to just 200yds total, 69yds rushing & 0 TD's with 6 sacks & 14TFL's. When they create pressure & are disruptive in the backfield they can be one of the top 5 Defenses in the nation.
The DL was stout as usual, Pitt couldn't move the ball & they were playing on fire getting the backfield shutting down the run game. JJack, Willis & Garvin have been playing at a high level most of the year & are the main reasons why we lead the nation in TFL's great season from those boys.
Shaq played phenomenal ball, he's had a really great season this year, I hope he comes back his Senior year he's an anchor on this Defense & is incredibly valuable to the success of this team. Pinckney played great as well, way to respond from last week.
Mike Jack, Rome Finley, Bandy, Jaquan & Red all played great in the secondary, they were great in coverage & made an impact vs the run game as well. Coach Banda doesn't get enough credit, but Safety play has really stepped up over the last 2 years.
Salute to Michael Jackson! Kid developed into a legit lockdown Corner & will no doubt get drafted next year, played a huge part over the last 2 years in our Defense being as good as it's been. Wish him the best of luck & hope he gets drafted as high as possible! Congrats MJ!
Special salute to Jaquan Johnson, one of the best Safety's we've had in a long time. True leader & true Cane to the fullest. Watching his maturation process during his 4 years at Miami has been an honor, great young man with a bright future ahead of him. This team will absolutely miss him in the locker room next year, but he continued on the strong foundation that was laid by the great Cane safety's in the past. The young pups will hopefully follow in his footsteps & follow the example he set on what it means to be a leader & what it means to play like Hurricane. Thank you Jaquan! Kill it in the league!
Overall, good game. Congratulations to the Seniors! **** of a ride for these kids, they played their heart out & laid it all on the line for the U, much appreciation to them all.
Jaquan Johnson, Sheldrick Redwine, Michael Jackson, Mike Smith, Gerald Willis, Tyree St. Louis, Tyler Gauthier, Trayone Gray, Demetrius Jackson, Malik Rosier, Darrell Langham, Terry McCray, Jhavonte Dean, Tito Odenigbo & Jahair Jones thank you all! Wish you the best of luck on your next endeavors!
