We have younger guys behind him that can become impact players if they could just get some reps.Above average is good.

The younger guys are slightly above average college football players. If they were as good as some of you are suggesting they would’ve been playing in their first year.We have younger guys behind him that can become impact players if they could just get some reps.

Finally someone who understands this Defense is going to be really good. Especially the DL.The way this defense is designed, those guys should live in the backfield all season. Think 2017 defense. If Hetherman calls the defense the same way he called it in Minnesota, the way he had those 3 stars hunting, now replace them with 4 former 5 stars, Bain, Blay, Moten, Mesidor, and Jones, this D-line is going to feast.
I understand 2024 d-line was hyped as well and they did not live up to it at all. But the truth is the design of that defense crippled the talent on the d-line. It’s brainless to take a player like Bain who wins with power and run him on stunts, when stunts are won on speed. Hetherman defense is designed to the strength of the players that have been recruited since Mario arrived.
Nah, I was turning his stupidity around on him. I copied exactly what he said but instead of Mesidor, I put “younger guys.”Judging too soon. Blount was 17, he needed more time to bake. The rest were in the 220 range coming out of HS. They needed S&C. I expect at least a couple will contribute a lot this season, along with Lowe who is a freak.

For you to call someone you don't know stupid based on their opinion shows your stupidity. Carry on though because I don't argue on messages boards with people I don't know.Nah, I was turning his stupidity around on him. I copied exactly what he said but instead of Mesidor, I put “younger guys.”

Mesidor is a slightly above average college football player. If he was as good as some of you are suggesting he wouldn't be playing college football for a sixth year.
I'm happy he played well. But the guy he replaced (Elijah Roberts) is already playing on Sundays. I stick by what I said.
WhoopsMesidor is a slightly above average college football player. If he was as good as some of you are suggesting he wouldn't be playing college football for a sixth year.
Nothing I said was untrue. When did above average become a bad thing? I just don't believe he is elite period. But carry onWhoops
There’s a huge gap between elite and above average. Nobody in here said he’s elite. And “slightly above average” for a starting defensive end is a bad thing for a team with championship aspirations. But if you think he was slightly above average last night then I’ll take a team full of that.Nothing I said was untrue. When did above average become a bad thing? Yeah I can see why you would think that.Nothing I said was untrue. When did above average become a bad thing? I just don't believe he is elite period. But carry on

Mesidor finished the night with five tackles and 1.5 sacks—and came up huge down the stretch when the Hurricanes needed some pass rushing punch. According to PFF, Mesidor generated two pressures and did not miss a tackle. The 78.0 pass rushing grade from Mesidor was the best on the team.

Carry on
People forgot, now they remember. It wouldn't shock me if he has a better season than Bain. I think people forgot how good he is when he isn't playing out of position.
