My apologies to Mr. Homer

Ok, so not unheard of that he'll fumble, but I'm not getting how it's problematic at this point. Sure it's a thing you want to stop even if it hasn't caused harm yet, but Homer's not a "fumbler". He isn't a guy who scares you every time he carries the ball.
Agree

He scores last year on that play, seems like all of our Running backs got a lil bigger and stronger but slower, they still look good though,
watch the run the dude who caught him has a head start plus the angle and Homer still nearly beat him

Deejay and Travis have gained weight more muscle but their not as fast as they were last year

Agree 100% - Homer is not as fast as last year, but he's still a blazer.

Homer went from 195 to 205 this year. As a result he probably went from like a 4.43 to a 4.49 (I'm estimating here). Still really fast, just a touch slower than last year.

The benefit of the extra weight/strength/durability is worth sacrificing a little bit of speed in the long term. Duke Johnson made the same trade his Junior year.

I remember people saying last year that Thomas wasn’t as fast as advertised because he got caught a few times

This isn’t Madden, a good angle is all it takes

Dallas and Homer make a very good combo and probably cause fits for the D in how to defend them.

Homer is 100% effort and speed and aggression all the time. Dude is like the lightning as soon as he's got the ball and looking for someone to kill.

Dallas is much more patient and picks and weaves his way through the D. He's got power and crazy quick feet.

We are lucky to have 2 ballas.

Sorry Vern.
Facts:
Both players at full speed-
Homer @ the 46 yard line.
UNC DB @ the 41 yard line.

Homer is grabbed from behind at the 6.

Homer outran that dude by 6 yards in a 40 yard sprint.

He's shown better effort on runs where the hole doesn't open up for him the last two games. I still prefer they start Dallas and use him as the hammer to soften up the opponent and then bring in Homer and Lingard to slash for big gains.

Nah I still prefer Homer because he seems to be more of a homerun threat than DJ

I think people are misunderstanding what Vern is saying.

At 205 this year, Homer is a little bit "bigger" RB, but not at all a "big" RB
At 205 this year, Homer is a slightly "slower" RB, but not at all a "slow" RB

Homer is still blazingly fast. No one is saying he's slow. He's still one of the fastest RB's in the country. His speed totally erased the UNC DB's angle.

But the UNC DB got just enough of Homer to push him out at the 4, where last year he probably doesn't catch him.

I'm a huge fan of Homer and think he'd be a 3rd rounder if he left this year. His gain in weight is more valuable than a very slight loss in speed.

I maintain he scores last year on that play, hes still fast but he is a step slower, he was out running angles last year that safety wasnt that fast
