It's why I dont get insulted no matter how many times you repost the village idiot meme. At least you think it's funny. Yes, I jumped into the conversation to specifically state that if you disqualify Muschamps defenses at USC, then as a DC over the last ten years Manny is more qualified. What is your response to that? Or was I not allowed to jump into a conversation while it was going on in a message board? Please moderator, do explain all the rules of human interaction to me. I haven't figured it out yet, as I am just the village idiot.

So your response started out fine and then went from Jekyll to Hyde. I don’t know if your meds dropped off halfway in but the meds I take are on a constant delivery system so I don’t have lows like that where you’re waiting for it to kick in again.

In the last 10 years, Manny was fired as DC at Texas, was DC at Louisiana Tech and
then DC at Miami.

In the last 10 years, Will Muschamp was DC at the gaytor under Urban Meyer - winning a National Championship- and served as the DC at Auburn where he was the highest paid DC in the Country because they really wanted Manny first.

I 100% agree with you here in that Muschamp as a DC would be great here. His defenses have been good IMO all things considered

But he was never DC under Meyer. I'm assuming you mean Saban and LSU which is where he won a NC

Yes, I stand corrected. I think he missed Urban by a year. I mentioned earlier that he has a Natty under Saban at LSU, I was just going back 10 years.

And I agree. The point is that the guy is hella-qualified to be DC at Miami. When I first stated that I’d love to have him here - though I acknowledge a 3-4 scheme dilemma with our current personnel - I had the Slurper-in-Chief 🤮 on my post so I told him that Muschamp’s more qualified as a DC than Manny is as a HC or DC.

I got some horrible arguments in return and then the Village Idiot showed up and insulted my gif - until you arrived like a breath of fresh air.

I’m sorry if the facts don’t meet your agenda. I’ll slurp where it’s appropriate but I want my slurping to have meaning. Trying to argue Manny is a more qualified DC than Muschamp is not a viable use of my slurping capital.
 
Manny and Muschamp?
That seems like a very volatile and potentially explosive situation.
We don’t have the dudes to run that 3-4 correct?
Has Muschamp ever ran a 4-3?
Is he gonna go Golden on our guys and have Taylor eat pork belly’s and white bread to get him to 330?

Having all those defensive minds in one place can lead to something very special and potentially revolutionary. Or just a room full of dudes screaming “my way works better”

Idgaf how they do it if it happens but they better not Fck with the potential or development of the dudes we have on this team.

Yeah, the issues are a 3-4 with existing personnel and Muschamp’s demeanor IMO.
 
Muschamp was UF's HC from 2011-2014 and SC's HC from 2016-2020. In 2015 he was Auburn's DC for one year. All his experience prior to that was as DC/LB coach except for 98-99 when he was a DB coach.

You were wrong about him winning a NC with Urban. Then of course mentioned Manny got fired at Texas, while omitting the fact Muschamp has crashed and burned then been fired everywhere he's been in the last decade,. Saying he was a HC and not a DC when he was fired, then blaming TRob for the steaming pile of dog**** defense he fielded at SC is preposterous beyond belief.

I said I’d take Champ as a DC and you 🤮 on it. Manny’s ’s not better qualified than Muschamp as a DC nor does he have his status. That’s the point after you 🤮 on me saying I’d love to have Muschamp though I know there are scheme and demeanor questions.

You pulled out that stat sheet of when TRob was running Muschamp’s D which is garbage because there’s stats of Baker running Manny’s D and it isn’t great.

Muschimp isn’t coming here, his buyout is such that he can’t take a coaching role, he takes the analyst role and scores that sweet do-nothing buyout payola.

On top of that, T-Rob wants nothing to do with him, Shoop and him have different defensive philosophies and would probably clash, the chimp is married to a 3-4, and we barely have enough linebackers for a 5-2, add to that he has not had a consistently good defensive output in the last ten years and would want to be the top dog, so no, it wouldn’t be a fit.
