So is there a minimum salary in order for him to keep his totals between buyout and new salary the same?

He failed as a HC at South Carolina. We’re talking about as a DC. You’re not going to win this argument by taking his DC bona fides on. The issue with him is not competence as a DC. The issue aside possibly from demeanor is that he traditionally runs a 3-4 and if he would insist on that, it will be problematic given our personnel.
You’re wrong. That’s TRob as DC. Would you look at Baker’s numbers the same way and pull this stuff out on Manny to say he’s a failure?Look at these defensive numbers last season. This is his reality. He’s living on limited past success:

Jesus, thank you for this commentYou guys know there are more than the same 4 DCs out there in the world right
Ray lewisNot to CIS. We want the same two or three guys anytime a position coach spot opens up.
Sort of. From what's written it sounds like a rough and probably poorly drafted effort to try to eliminate the situation where someone takes a new job at an artificially low salary and the old school is paying the cost of his employment for someone else. The contract has an offset provision to the severance, so what he ears elsewhere reduces what USC owes him. But how to stop the situation where he works for $1 for another school, so USC pays the full amount and the other schools gets a discount? The contract says that his salary for off-set purposes is presumed to be no less than 75% of the amount that the person he's replacing (at that other school) made (in the prior year, I guess). So is there a minimum salary in order for him to keep his totals between buyout and new salary the same?

The dude has 2 Nattys as a DC and was the highest paid DC in the country before he took the South Carolina HC job.
Only argument is the 3-4 he runs and our existing personnel.
So let this sink in and I know it will hurt but this is the type of tough love you need to break the circle of slurping:
Will Muschamp’s qualifications as a DC > Manny’s qualifications as a HC or DC
The buck stops with the HC. Manny failed offensively last year and he failed defensively this year.
But he managed to pull out 8 wins in year two and his defenses before that were the reason we won 90% of our games.
Muschamp has been nothing but horrible and he's a nut job.
He and his crazy eyed antics are a disaster at every stop he goes.
You mean there's actually more than 4, or were you not including Manny? So 5 with Manny right? You guys know there are more than the same 4 DCs out there in the world right

Now repeat after me:
Will Muschamp’s qualifications as a DC > Manny’s qualifications as a HC or DC
This is ridiculous. As a DC over the last ten years Manny is more qualified than Muschamp. The problem is that there is no data for Manny being HC and DC at the same time. We have no clue how that will turn out. An educated, unbiased, non-slurping argument could easily be made that Manny is a better DC than Muschamp at this stage of their careers because he has had more recent success and has done it at places devoid of blue chip players. GTFOH with that slurping, pleasing reader BS propaganda you pulling with that stupid *** meme.

Muschamp has buy out money from SC as well, he will most likely take an analyst type role with Kirby,,, keep the buyout $$$ coming 19M$. tough part of 3-4 Defense is finding an NT 300 pounds + as well as DE that are 280 + as wellI’d take Muschamp. That said, my bigger concern about Muschamp, aside from whatever demeanor issues there are, is that he runs a 3-4 and I’m not certain that we have the personnel for that right now in the front 7 but maybe someone who knows this stuff can explain otherwise. Also, maybe he would adapt to the talent and consider a 3-3-5?
If that bothered me I would change my name. How about an actual response included with the insult? It makes for better reading material.
Yeah, there was something posted about the buyout. My worry with Muschamp is what you said about the 3-4 and our current personnel.Muschamp has buy out money from SC as well, he will most likely take an analyst type role with Kirby,,, keep the buyout $$$ coming 19M$. tough part of 3-4 Defense is finding an NT 300 pounds + as well as DE that are 280 + as well
do not doubt Muschamps abilities as as DC.. but Athens with Kirby is where he ends up
You called my gif a meme and you called it stupid so that was insulting. I laid out an entire history of Muschamp before you jumped in including being the DC on 2 National Championship teams under 2 different coaches and then being the highest paid DC in the country - for a reason - before he took the HC job at South Carolina. If that bothered me I would change my name. How about an actual response included with the insult? It makes for better reading material.
I’d have to read it again because it was a little confusing, but they may be saying that USCe/Muschamp had language in there that if he takes a job, the salary can’t be less than 75% of what the previous holder of the job received. So is there a minimum salary in order for him to keep his totals between buyout and new salary the same?
