moving forward, do we give Jacurri the rest of the snaps?

Oregon - Washington is an entertaining game. The kind some posters will claim proves how bad the PAC12 is but the exact same game between Ole Miss-LSU proves how good the $EC $EC $EC is…

And then Lanning brain farts…..corch moment…

Not sure y u don’t just QB sneak there on 4th & less than a yard. And I think UO just got screwed on that call there.

Pac 12 all beat each other. But at least it's fast and fun.

Yeah, didn’t understand the play call. Nix was out for the play…maybe that had something to do with the call.

On the next to last play, I thought maybe the WR was inbounds, he was running on his toes, it seemed, but there’s no angle to clearly overturn the call. Would have been the same in reverse.

I don’t think the DB overtly pushed the WR out.

sad times… more QB draws coming. they are going to get young dude hurt. He doesn’t avoid contact when running - also can’t deliver passes downfield on target from the pocket consistently- hopefully i am wrong but good teams will scheme for him … not saying it’s the kid - it’s the Oc

Nah, game manager of a boring *** offense.

The future at QB needs more, but kudos to him for not turning it over.

I know that maybe comes across as cold, but where do you want to see this team go? He's very limited and well, it was GT. Kid worked within his skill set and it resulted in a win. No complaints, just calling it like I see it.

WHAAAA!!! I hate you, f' you!!...

OK, OK, all this is valid.... lol. Hey, I was just spit ballin, here

Maybe Jacurri has a Josh Allen metamorphosis in the offseason throwing the ball. The kid definitely has a strong arm, but his accuracy is a$$ right now. If it doesn't improve the Canes aren't going to win many games with him against any team with a pulse. Plus, he won't last a full season with this QB keeper heavy playcalling.

I would love the Canes making a bowl game to get the young guys more reps. That being said, I don't see a chance against Clemson or Pitt with Brown starting. (Please prove me wrong Jacurri). I just don't see a +4 turnover margin in either of those games.

Didn't get to watch the game today, but **** if twitter doesn't make it sound like Brown was hot garbage. 3 td's and 0 int's, what am I missing from just looking at the stat lines? I'm assuming it's just twitter being twitter where everything has to be doom and gloom.
Mopes gonna mope. If you have the chance, take a look at the highlights. Jacurri was fine for his first ever start. Didn't make any major mistakes, showed a little touch in the passing game, called his own number a few times, and overall did a good job of managing the game. He will only get better from here.

Why would he be? He's a true freshman in his first start. TVD saw the field in year 2 of the program and had a shakey start until he settled in.

I just don't get the unrealistic comparison when Jacurri could have redshirted if TVD wasn't injured and we had any kind of short yardage running game.

Give him time to grow. He has to learn through his mistakes.
Maybe it’s just my skepticism. I hope he develops as a passer drastically down the road

Let's say for a moment TVD, Garcia, and Brown all stay for next season.

Is there a legitimate 3-way competition for QB1?

JB once he takes this opportunity to his heart he maybe unstoppable his play and work habits may demand it.
A leader brings others with them , Zi see these players wanting to help JB and that raises there game.
I’ve seen it before it’s contagious and others are brought alone with leaders like JB.
I keep thinking of his interview after the game he spoke of others never about himself even his grandparents and what they did in sacrifice to keep him playing.
This FIRE BURNS with intensity of PASSION.

Ray Lewis:

FEEL MY PASSION

This team feels JB PASSION , we are very dangerous the rest of the was, did you see ROOSTERS game how it exploded THAT is an example of bringing others with you as a leader.

GOCANES

Clemson front 7 is by far the best Miami will have seen this year. With a beat up OL, Parrish injury, it TVD can play in that atmosphere you play him. I don’t want Jacurri to get roughed up if possible and lose confidence.

Do people forget coming out of the bye TVD was was rolling. He looked like his old self vs. UNC, VT, and already had thrown a TD vs. Duke before he got injured. The reason we were losing was KSmith and Roosters fumbles. He had thrown for nearly 1000 yards had 6 TDs to 1 INT after the bye. Even injured against FSU he led us down the field for our only points on first drive.

If he can’t play then yea you play Jacurri. Clemson is going to tear us up up front so better hope JB can throw the ball down the field some.

Ole Miss game…announcers constantly talking about Ole Miss “wants to run the ball”

Georgia game…Roman Harper previewing the game…”for Georgia, physicality always travels well and keeps you in games”

I say we expedite his development right now, I know he has a lot of room to grow and get better. But this guy is the future at QB.

Lets ride and grow with him, I'll live with his mistakes

This kid gives us some juice...
agree.

unpopular opinion:

i think CMC saw TVD quit last week vs fsu. and until he’s needed as a chess piece to develop Jac, he’s done seeing the field for now.

w/ respect, i understand TVD’s hurt and may have quit via pushing to the point of failure. but that didn’t help us stay in that game. ik from experience, a player can be hurt AND selfish. was also difficult to watch d’eric king push when he wasn’t 100% (*but #1 changed things, so naturally i just blamed hc Manny Diaz). felt for them. i know they wanted to win more.

priority has to be winning—fighting for it, not just wishing it were so. and Jacurri is a gamer. he’s got heart, ya know?

this team has been mentally out of it for years—and the object of momentum rather than the reaper. (save for maybe 2017)

i CANNOT stand tim tebow, but he was a gamer. notwithstanding all the technique ppl will say are too this or too that, winning is what matters. and ball (life too right?) is more than the sum of its parts.

it’s not like TVD and Jake haven't gotten snaps. plus Jacurri’s redshirt is gone anyway, right? give #11 the keysss

Clemson has crazy talent on their d line so having the running threat qb at least makes their d coordinator account for that vs a statue. Give TVD another week to get healthy. Clemson will force JB to hit more intermediate & deep throws. Qb draw and bubble screens with quick screens won't cut it vs a big time opponent but we had a good gameplan getting the kid comfortable and kudos to the o line & Knighton for showing up (I know I know, GT is awful). If we show up like this next week we can at least be competitive for a half vs Dabo. I wanna see us take some chances too, some bombs, maybe a fake punt with the tank Hedley, play like you have nothing to lose with the us against the 🌎 mentality and let's see what happens.

I think so. But Mario has thrown out there that TVD could come back this year.

I think Brown continues to develop as a passer and the added threat to run opens up the passing. Something you don’t get with TVD.

Maybe he develops like a Hooker at Tennessee under the right tutelage.
it’s minutiae but he said “on track to come back and be able to play” when asked.

then he kinda gave SMD **** for bringing up TVD return timeline after starting Jacurri obviously went well 😂

agree 11 is more dynamic.
