Move Brown to Safety or Nickle

Unfortunately Thorton has had a really rough start to the year. His coverage hasn't been good honestly from the first game. The man he is guarding be it man or zone almost always catches the ball for a significant gain.

Moving Brown will help improve his coverage as well and then Thorton can play on strictly running downs. Also hope we continue to see Dylan Day in the mix.

Pretty positive D Money has said this numerous times and Damari doesn’t want to play the nickel or safety. But I agree, I think he’s better cover guy then Omar and he’s a willing tackler. If damari wants an nfl future, he needs to change positions

Damari has given all he can for this program. Injuries have derailed his full potential. Period. That said, he's needed as a starter for now, and a top reserve later in the season once we get back Lucas and Jabori. Then we're cooking with grease! Develop young Portis over the next 4- 6 weeks and the secondary is back on point for what we thought before the season.
 
The only pushback I will say on this is the notion that Damari wasnt a big time prospect out of HS. I thought I saw that somewhere in this thread. That is absolutely NOT the truth. Damari was highly sought after and was not a backup plan to anyone. Now has he lived up to his potential? Absolutely not and I think there is a reason he hasnt hit the portal. He has no traction. But as its been said..we need him right now..there will come a time when we wont...but that time is not now. We absolutely need him with Lucas, Antoine and OJ out.

I have completely written this kid off at Miami. He awful in coverage and so how even worse as a gunner on the punt team. Some one else said it but he just looks miserable out there. Glad to have him as a body but I can’t see him getting valuable minutes after the inured guys return.

I offered my analysis based off what I have watched in every game. I don't miss a game and I rewatch them 2 or 3 times. If you felt the thread was stupid and pointless why come in and post at all? Then you bring up a random poster

Why don't you go out and make some friends in real life then you won't have to entertain yourself by being an idiot and posting in a thread you think is stupid and pointless. Or you could even do better and offer actual rational for why you disagree with the OP. GROW UP

To be clear this thread was not meant to bash Brown. I simply wanted to point out how he could be better utilized. I didn't know before reading in this thread Brown has been approached about playing Safety and nickel and basically refused

Ok so Brown has done absolutely nothing in 3 years....going on 4 years. He can't even play special teams. If OJ, Antonie, and Lucas were all healthy then his snaps would be minimal. He's only playing because of all the injuries. I've been over the glazers on here hyping him up every single year because he's a SFLA boy. But in reality what has he actually done? Don't worry I will wait for that answer.

Him changing positions in year 4 is not worth it. If that were to happen, then it should have been done 2 years ago. I'm sure he's a good guy and everything but it's time to move on from him after the year with the elite DB class coming in. The same could be said about guys like Chase Smith and Ryan Rodriguez. Those guys should not be getting significant snaps at Miami.
