Move Brown to Safety or Nickle

Thread title explains it's self. I think Damari Brown would do well in that role. He is physical and has the prototypical size for both positions. If Brown's body can hold up I say move him and get some of the younger cover corners some playing time.

Unfortunately Thorton has had a really rough start to the year. His coverage hasn't been good honestly from the first game. The man he is guarding be it man or zone almost always catches the ball for a significant gain.

Moving Brown will help improve his coverage as well and then Thorton can play on strictly running downs. Also hope we continue to see Dylan Day in the mix.
 
Brown is way too big to play nickel. Could you imagine him trying to guard Mally? Not going to happen. Other teams have small quick guys too and he would be exposed.

Maybe I’m misremembering, but I thought a thread was created on him and hyping him up? Nonetheless, I hope he proves me wrong and balls out, because we need all hand on deck right now.

That's why I also said Safety. With as much as we play cover 3 he is doing very similar things to a Safety at times and that's when he looks the best.

To be fair he has shown that he is very physical is run support. But yes his coverage from a true boundary corner position has not been that good.

The hype was bc the year he signed we missed on a lot of dbs and got played by cormani
So unfortunately he was the jag we signed and hence we hyped him up or admit that we struck out on our targets

This fan base does this alll the time
Whenever we strike out on our targets and end up with our second or third options we tend to hype them up instead of simply admitting we screwed cuz we missed this year

It’s odd that so many fans can’t simply say yea we signed a bunch of jags we falsely hype
Them up and they wonder why they aren’t good

It’s simple they were a jag to begin with just bc we sign them doesn’t mean they aren’t a jag

I guarantee in next year we gonna talk about lacking talent at dt but that’s what we get for stacking jags and simply hoping they hit

The hype also comes from the look as well. Brown was the first DB that we recruited in a while that was coming in with 5 star size and speed.

What I don't understand is if you have a big physical corner that is struggling with coverage. Common sense would tell you try that dude at Safety. We leave Brown at corner to be eaten alive in cover 3 and cover 2 man.

Or why not move him to lb
All those Pitt lbs play at like 220
