Moten

Had a **** of a game, especially considering he was hobbled. Really hope he comes back. Moten comes back, Scott keeps progressing along with Blount and Lightfoot, we get to see if Hayden Lowe lives up to the hype and land Wilson in the portal and our DL would be nasty once again. Not gonna say it'll be as good as this year with Bain and Mesidor. Might never see another DE duo like those two ever again.

Moten and Scott would be the best DT duo in the ACC and top 5 in the country. Let’s hope.
I was looking at some of the best ones coming back and they may both be top 5 DTs individually. Not a chance there's a better unit out there. The group behind them has some question marks.. overall our 2nd and 3rd string guys on the interior would be Blount/Carter/Newton/Jones/Stancil. All smaller and/or young. High hopes for Stancil though.

ND signed a solid duo out of the portal with Gray from Oregon and Brewu from Pitt, but nothing comparable to our pair.

Moten is DT1 looking forward to the the draft in 2027 if he returns.

For once we got guys that actually should go Pro considering coming back

It is strange.
I always hated when our guys left early but I ultimately understood, especially those who came from impoverished backgrounds.
Now I see these stud players pledging to return and I worry they are risking their potential earnings, especially running backs who tupically don't last long in the NFL because of wear and tear.
I do think one of those greasy agents like Rosenhaus or O'Dare will whisper in their ears to leave now.

Bell/Moten stay
Mensah, Wilson in the portal
Seaton if Bell leaves
Depth pieces

I feel good about next year with that
If we did get Seaton, do you think he would likely fill in for Bell if he leaves or Cantwell. Who would likely play LT/RT?

We can pay guys big time, so it’s not the same financial risk of staying like it was in the past. We can even buy insurance policies for them. So we should expect with NIL it makes it easier to keep guys from leaving early. Our 2001 team had guys who came back even without all that.

We’d probably only pay him if Bell was leaving. Cantwell seems like a lock for RT. Can’t afford to have your highest paid non-QB on the bench

In the NIL era you don’t leave unless you’re a first rounder, maybe second round with a bad support system. But even agents make more if they stay. He should come back unless he gets a major jump in his draft prospects.

He became a real war daddy in the playoffs.

With one arm and on one leg he took an Ohio State offensive linemen and drove him into the dirt. Thats an exemplar play by him that I'll never forget and would recommend any NFL scout look at that.

He had a play in this Indiana game where he put Coogler into the dirt and walked over him like he was nothing.

If he comes back? Oh man. You've got an All American candidate at NT. He's really developed into something special.
He was also bawlin’ in the Notre Dame game

No problem with whatever he decides. But probably a mid rounder who can move to day 1 with another year

100% the best in the ACC.

Not trying to be a homer, but a serious question - who would have a better DT starting tandem in the entire country? I can't think of one starting tandem that would be better than those two. If they take the step forward that Mesi and Bain took as a tandem this year, then the U truly is back with dominating DT play.
