Most under-appreciated hurricane ever?

Kenny Phillips. Had played behind some of the best teams and players in our history and was held to a ridiculous standard. He was a baller though and never got much love.

Richard Mercier. His work ethic helped lay the foundation for that O line, even though he graduated before we were "back". His is a name that never gets mentioned. He was the epitome of a Butch Davis player.

Matt Walters. Everyone remembers Ed Reed's TD return that sealed the Boston College game where they were about to finish off a game winning drive. But everyone forgets that Matt Walters made the interception and handed it to Reed for the TD return. Without the Walter's INT, BC scores, wins the game, and Miami probably doesn't make it to the National Title game and beats Nebraska.

Technically, it was Mike Rumph's knee that made the play against Boston College. The ball just happened to bounce into Walter's hands.

In relation to what he accomplished vs how fast his name comes up for consideration on our Mt. Rushmore? Then I'd say Dan Morgan.

I'd also like to nominate Sherko as an all-time under-appreciated personality.
