Most mind boggling of all ...

After the season I posted on here about the special teams and the need for a dedicated coach since we had the absolute worst special teams in the nation. Most refuted this essentially saying that asst coaches typically have dual position roles. I never thought Patke was the guy to address this issue and only 2 games in we are starting to see why that is in fact the case.

On February first of 2019 who had a better roster, us or UNC?

Which coach got their guys ready to play?

It is damning. We hired an inexperienced guy and are praying he develops. Big mistake.

As bad as we have played and coached, and it’s been pretty bad in a host of areas, we are 2-0 and singing a different tune if we didn’t miss basically THREE extra points over TWO consecutive games.

(Two 20+ yard FG’s are basically extra points).

A decent D1 scholarship kicker goes 3 seasons and doesn’t miss 3 extra points, let alone across two games.

The whole thing is completely nut in vice wrenching and truly cannot be rationally understood.

SMFH
At every position on the team there is a back up putting pressure on the starter with the exception of punter and kicker and yet they continue to bit us in the butt!

We are what we are. An 0-2 bucket of diarrhea. I was half-willing to look for excuses for the uf loss. But that game last night against that horseshyt program shouldn’t have come down to a missed XP or a FG.

Can you see now why I was waiting for 1 win from Diaz before giving him the benefit of the doubt? This is not “The New Miami” it’s a rinse and repeat. Starting with promoting a coordinator from a failed staff/former Temple coach hire.

The most mind boggling thing is how we build up unrealistic expectations here based on pump me up podcasts and click bait takes.

We're not good. Outside of a few, our players are not dogs.

We can be good, but the team is inexperienced and can't make THE play when it counts.

Chise, you did better than me, unfortunately for just a few times, mainly under golden and richt, in my almost 40 years of being a fan, I was cheering we lost this game because we looked like the same program at the on-site. Three scores down before we get any lifez#typicalnormalmiami(#tnm)

We could be good with the right coaching, we have highly rated players all over the field. Coaching continues to kill us.

Baxa didn't give up a first down on 4th and 17 this week or 4th and 3 last week.

Granted, those missed kicks hurt, but when you can point to multiple missed opportunities, it's not a single person that's the problem.

Better kicking would be great, but the rule of thumb in football is blaming the kicker misses all the reasons why it's even coming down to a handful of points.

2-0 but really 0-2. Both these game should of been *** kickings handed out by the team. 1st game you had an entire off season to prepare and **** the bed. Get an additional week off to prepare for a team that you throttled last season only to **** the bed. FOH

This is a team that is 3-7 in their last 10 games. This is a team that has 1 bowl win since 2006. 1! This is a team that still hasn’t won an ACC title and has just 1 Coastal title since joining The ACC.

I don’t have anymore patience to wait for “Manolo’s guys” to get here. We have been hearing that sh*t and “waiting” for over a decade. “Wait for Randy to weed out Clappy’s players” or “Wait for Folden to bring in his guys” I am just over all of the excuses.

The problem continues to be this inept athletic department with their **** poor decisions on coaching hires, stadiums etc. How much more of a pass are we going to give Jake Blames also please tell me a single thing he has accomplished in his role? Rick was responsible for the indoor facility Jake played a very small role in getting this done.

Rick gets forced out but let’s hire his DC. Jim Morris is pretty much forced into retirement but hey Di Mare is the answer smh..

You have to be a severe ********* in order to put up with this kind of incompetence year after year.
Our program suffers from bipolar disorder. Lows, to highs, to lows, to highs, with all risky and fantasy-filled decisions. Read this linked info, especially the “Manny-a” and the “Hypo-Manny-a” aspects. It describes Our program’s behavior post-Butch Davis.

He still sucks.

The other problem is half of the roster already is made of Manny’s guys, and they didn’t get it done last night.

Banda, Rumph, Patke, and Manny are part of the “disease” until further notice. It’s time to take a hard look in the mirror

And FWIW Stroud has been a joke so far. Don’t know if it’s by design or our guys have just gotten worse under him
