Listening to who high school coaches want is no different than listening to who players or recruits want.

These coaches don't know who the best fit is....they're not even worth paying attention to...

And potatoes keep calling 560 and touting Mario. Either everyone is just dumb and clueless (possibility). Or everyone is dumb, clueless, and we're going to get royally ****ed, but a clueless BOT that is going to set the program back 10 more years.
 
Who cares about Mario!!! The guy has won nothing... proven nothing and you want him as HC in waiting??? Are you guys dense??

Any winner can recruit in S FL .... WIN, that is the magic sauce not a Cuban heritage!!

I need to check out for the next month and check back in when the hire is made. All this talk of Mario is chapping my ***. I know it's still early but the buzz around this guy is unwarranted and I'm afraid the powers that be will hire him.
 
Who cares what they want or former miami players want. We had golden and Coley, two great recruiters and put ice on the staff for recruiting. We need real coaches.

I heard this on 560 and I wanted to pull over and hurl.

The Dade Coaches Mafia is lobbying the Hecht for Mario because they want to own his testes if he gets the job.

They just see the U as a feeder program for HS coaches who want assistant's jobs, and I will bet you that if Mario gets the job, he will be reminded in No Uncertain Terms that Repayment In Full will be expected.

The local politics in this job search stinks to high heaven.
 
That's why they're high school coaches and most of them can't comprehend why they're stuck at that level.

They want him because they think they can control him ... Either getting a job, or getting their kids a college scholarship.

Those coaches don't really care if he wins.

It would be a complete failure by the university to consider their opinion in any way, especially if their primary consideration is "local recruiting connections".

And another thing ...

Recruits and their coaches keep saying, "Commit to the school, not the coach" ... If that's the case, why does having established ties matter?

And how does Ohio State or Auburn get so many quality South Florida recruits? Mario doesn't recruit for them ...
