It’s Sean Taylor in 03 without question...

He single handedly beat FSU by himself @ Doak, he was by far the best player on the field & had one of the most dominant performances in a game ever.

This. I appreciate the poll, but it should be literally unanimous. I’ve never seen a defensive performance in my life better than that, at any level. Maybe something like Derrick Thomas 8 sacks or whatever he had back in the ‘90s, but I was pretty young. In my adult life, that was the best performance I’ve ever seen, offensively or defensively, against any opponent. The fact that he did that in Doak just made it that much better.

The reason I became a Hurricanes fan was sitting in my dorm room at St Johns U, with my roommate freshman year of college, broke, with nothing to do…Roommate asked if I wanted to watch football, I sat and watched…Haven’t turned off the ‘Canes since (and my favorite player of all time #26)

So I’ll go with Sean Taylor the Great/GOAT.

Props to my roommate for having THAT game on, bc who knows who I would’ve been a fan of had he NOT had that game on…lmbo

Just realized I’m going on 20 years of fandom…small number for some of you, but HUGE to me! Go Canes!!

Ed Reed had a helluva game in 2001 I've never seen relievers so scared in there lives they spent more time looking for ed than the ball not one of them would put there hands above there shoulders and they slid more than a baseball player

Leonard Conley and Stephen Mcguire (think he had 175+) combined for over 300 yards rushing and 3TDs in 1990. Either of their individual performances are up high on any list.

Ken Dorsey threw for 300+ 2TDs, 0INT in 2000.

In 2002, Mcgahee had like 160 yards from scrimmage, but the Noles did hold him under 4 yards/carry.

What Sean Taylor did in the 2003 rain game may never be seen again. Saw it live and still couldn't fully believe it.

Jacory's 2009 game certainly deserves a mention because he almost threw for 400 yards, but combined 2 picks with his 2 TDs.
Those performances are all as memorable as they were incredible but I believe OP meant games played @FSU. Picking from the 4 listed I would have to go with Sean Taylor in the Rain Check game in 2003.

I also feel the need to comment on Steven McGuire in the 1991 game(Wide Right 1). I feel his performance gets lost in the shuffle plus the fact it was 30 years ago. What I wanted to say was that people need to look up the game on YouTube and watch it because McGuire was an animal in that game. He ripped the noles apart and they had no answers. You could tell that the Seminoles we're caught off guard by us pounding the rock.

No doubt that it’s Sean by a mile.

But some honorable mentions should go to Michael Irvin in the 1987 classic 26-25 Canes win. He willed us to victory in that 4th quarter.

Also Willis in the 2002 game. His catch and long run late in the 4th quarter is the stuff of legend.
