Most here are so easy to troll

I seriously doubt Manny called a disgruntled former player who left the team specifically to let him know he's going to fire a coach.

But that's just me.

why is it so far fetched? They are obviously struggling to sign a 4th WR. So they may want to see if Hightower was willing to return with the promise of changes to the offense. Wouldn’t be the first time we brought disgruntled players back

Yup. I think this is exactly what happened. People first jumped to the conclusion that Manny called Dee (if he did it was to reach nephew). Then people jump to the conclusion that the call is to discuss staph firings. That’s ancillary. The purpose was to see if the kid would come back and “hey, these are the changes being made.”

I thought it was easy to read into, but I guess like you and some others on here for years, I’ve been reading and talking to Dee for a good while and Can follow along.

Without context your statement makes sense. But you'd also have to know if he called for a purpose other than to share that info. For instance, he might have called to share that hoping he could talk Hightower into staying. Plant the seed with uncle, Enos goes, talk to Hightower, Hightower talks to uncle.... It's also possible that he has some other business that Manny talks to him about.

Why would he divulge that kind of sensitive information, that he's going to fire his OC, while his OC is literally preaching continuity to their prized QB recruit?

Especially knowing his uncle has a propensity to go off on social media.

Said he was making changes in approach to offense, possibly. Tell a 19 year old kid he's firing someone after a bowl game, highly doubtful imo.

I’m wondering the same thing.

Some posters desperately want him to be wrong so they can continue with their over-the-top negative crap.
Anyone who reads this from Dee and doesn’t get it... will never get it when it comes to Dee and the distinction between the love of an institution and the refusal to follow a dysfunctional staph like “sheep” per the OP. Dee’s words:

“Speaking on one kid. Since hes came here he’s had a gun pulled on him 5 times all on campus. 2 times by teammates,2 times at a party & 1 time by a coach... He’s been in 2 fights with staff members 1 time by his position coach and one time s & c. He gets death threats through text messages and all his social media on a regular basis.

Social media is the devil you may say & theres not much that can be done. Well normal procedure when you notify staff of these things is a investigation is done & precautions are taken to ensure kids safety... Well with this staph none of that occurs. It's on the kid solely and that's happened with quite a few kids here now.

I do more for this university than yall will ever know and I'm proud to be in the position where I can give back in anyway to the university that entitled me to live my best life for generations to come. But because I love my university doesnt mean I have to love this staph or any other. You need to earn that respect. So while people like you judge people you know nothing about and speak on what anyone tells kids, you should realize theirs two sides to every coin & usually the one you see is only a glimpse of reality.

The staph here is flat out toxic & I'm never gonna support that. Some good people but a rotten core.”

He’s telling someone who was on the team. Plus coaches do it all the time recruiting

I really don't like the idea of constantly bringing back disgruntled players who quit on the team because they didn't get their way. It sends a bad message that to get what you want just ***** cry& quit, and later all will be forgiven if you're highly ranked. If two different coaching staffs including the men who recruited them couldn't reach these players to get them to perform, then at a certain point you have to come to the conclusion that you're dealing with spoiled effeminate & entitled players.

This is why coaching staffs need more than one year to turn a program around. I can tell many of the fans here have no leadership or organizational skills. It takes time to root out issues and turn ard a bad culture. Sometimes the issue is not all on management, you just have bad workers too. Then it's time to start cutting heads.

It could also be chess moves on Manny's part to bring them back to fill the voids but neuter them until you find adequate replacements. I just really hope Manny isn't pandering to this fickle fanbase and these sissy boy players.

And for those of you that don’t like seeing this on a message board because it’ll hurt recruiting, that’s some real SEC SEC SEC shît. The safety of kids has to come first.

If this is what’s going on then we have far more pervasive issues than onfield corching and off field recruiting. If this is the situation, they need to eradicate the entire AD and hire responsible adults... who hire other responsible adults.

This shît is disgusting.

Trying to understand what you're saying about all the time. You think HCs are telling recruits the coach they currently have on staff, the one they'll supposedly report to if they sign, is going to be fired after the bowl game or NSD?

Why were guns pulled on the guy? And 5 different times at that? You spinned it like he's the victim but yet he's the common denominator in every situation. Maybe buddy got some serious behavior issues going
