That's $2.99 too much based on the results the last couple of years.
Seriously though, this is why these guys have to be "forced out" sometimes. It's a shame his last home game is being welcomed by most fans. But, he set this in motion by staying longer than he should so it's hard for me to feel sorry for him.
Game has been cancelled in the final home game for Jim Morris. Sad to see it end like that.
Canes do take a 10-game winning streak into the ACC tourney. Let's see what kind of fight they have for their coach next week.
On the Amditis front, there is no rational reason to start him in Durham. He’s a downgrade defensively from Quinones, and also forces you to play Reyes in the field or leave Isaac out of the lineup.
If we get Del Castillo in the recruiting class you have to wonder if Amditis decides to transfer at that point with Quinones already ahead of him.
His last home game should have been 2 years ago.
a world far different than when Ron Fraser was doing it. He went to more CWS, with more competition, in a shorter period of time than Ron Fraser.
It is still a record for a program to go six years consecutively to the CWS.
More CWS in a shorter period of time? That is such a lazy narrative. When Fraser came aboard, the team didn't have uniforms or even a field, so you're right it WAS a different world, just not in the way you think. Fraser inherited nothing and turned it into a perennial powerhouse. More importantly, he knew when to step away. This is the biggest gap separating him and Morris, and the source of the fan frustration. Morris WAS a great coach, and nobody is trying to take away from his accomplishments or what he's done for this school. The criticisms are coming in because the Morris of RIGHT NOW is presiding over a team that is lucky to crack the top 10 in its own state, missed the playoffs last year for the first time in nearly a half century (and now likely in consecutive years, barring a miracle finish), and needed a huge win streak at the end of this season just to break .500.
He has coasted for ten years. Yeah, we had a great run from ‘94 to ‘08. But the last decade has not been Miami baseball.
I don’t even have to rely on hindsight. We saw this crap coming. Quit acting as though we’re just angry about the last two seasons. This program has been in constant decline for a decade.
“But 2001!!!!”
