I get the whole “I want them full strength” argument.

But nobody gives a **** later in the year, they care first and foremost about the score.

I’ll tell you what: a 37-17 beat down looks a lot better than a 27-24 war. Him being out lends a more likelihood to the former.

This. Getting back to even 50% takes time in this sport. Especially when you factor in non contact work you must do to ensure the injury doesn’t happen again.

If this was the NFL maybe he plays. But this is college and kids want to make it to the next level. No reason for him to even risk injurying himself further in his draft year. If he was smart he would sit out until he is 100% full strength too.

He essentially has no training camp and has to recover his knee for a position where your knees are probably the most important. I don’t see it at all him being ready for Game 1. If he is, I’d be shocked if it’s anything more than a few touches

I believe he will play but next man up. Some of you are incredible short sided with your comments. I want their best out there period. I wish no harm to any athlete. I've had three knee operations and one serious. He certainlly won't be in football shape but I expect him to play. How good he'll be who knows but it won't be 100%
 
Don’t wish injury on anyone but next man up. Let’s get this W canes.
I want the win, best players or worst players no one will care so stop saying you want them at their strongest, wtf is wrong with you.
All anyone will care about is the final score.
