Each week this season, we’ll take a look at the game that was for the Hurricanes.

Here are some key storylines, numbers of note and quotes from eighth-ranked Miami’s 38-34 win over Virginia Tech on Friday night.

The Recap

There are four teams that are clearly better than the field but not unbeatable: Bama, Texas, UGA, and Ohio State. Everyone else is on par with Miami. Each with their warts. The difference between the top four and everyone else is 5-10 years of top 5 recruiting classes.

id throw Tenn in there

I wonder if Vag Tech was looking pst Rutgers? Saban might’ve been right about the rat poison too. Stop reading your praises and expect the unexpected. You will be getting everyone’s best shot for the rest of the year.

Lots of fight in this team. Two plays stand out to me and show this team won’t quit. Elijah Arroyo running downfield to make that tackle and prevent a pick six. Malik Bryant giving it all to try and block a field goal which turned into a fake kick he made the tackle on. I wonder how many players in the past would’ve given up on both these plays? Says a lot about the fight in them. They’ll need it this week. Don’t let this Cal team sneak up on you!

Go Canes!

The fact we dropped behind Penn St who absolutely could not contain Bowling Green, and Oregon, who couldn’t stop Idaho…its irrelevant but still pretty funny

It's only natural.

Cam has double the stats Milroe has but Milroe is now the Heisman leader.

Anyway week 5 going into week 6

Ideally Bain decapitates someone on national TV

Those two plays legit. I’d add the X catch on 4th and 3, and the chest pass Cam to RW. The one yard TD to Horton was a thing of beauty as well, but the previous four plays are pivotal overall.

Va Tech coach had a press conference today. Was asked a lot about the call reversal. Says he wasn’t told anything until he saw what the ACC put out around 1:30 am.
