Monday Recruiting Chatter - 12/10

You do realize that Dillingham didn't call plays at Memphis right? That's the James Coley - Jameis Winston argument

You do realize that every team that hires a new OC will have the greatest offense in the history of offense. That’s why every poster here is scared of FSU getting Briles because that will mean, they will beat Bama and everyone else and never lose a game

It’s a selling point. I don’t care what auburn does. They have a lame duck at HC just like we do. And we don’t play them so there’s no reason to “fear” them. But going head to head recruiting a RB right now... they have a selling point

Auburn hires a guy that was the “OC” for the RB that put up those numbers this year at Memphis... MAR is long gone. They have something new to sell and we don’t.
You mean the rb that had 200 yards in the first half vs UCF and was invisible in the 2nd? Oh wait maybe he loves thag Malzahn is being pushed out when Auburn can save a little money.

Y’all acting like I care about what auburn did. I’m shocked Gus isn’t already fired and don’t understand why recruits don’t see what’s going on. But the point is... they’ll sell this hire and it’ll be a deciding factor even though it’ll be more overblown than it should be.

it was number 8 and I wouldnt trade it for many above it. Miami is not a school that will put up top 5 classes consistently due to location. Its gotta be a school that can easily recruit many areas at once.
Uh, it's actually in the best possible location for annual top 5 classes; friend.

Maybe I dont know enough about this recruiting business, but all I read was that we were alot of dude's number 2. I really hope Mark Richt can stock the cupboard for the next guy, assuming the deadbeat AD and absentee BoT does their jobs and lets him go after another down season with him as OC.

They can sell whatever they want and UM can sell that the last 3 starting rbs have all gotten over 1,000 yards rushing on their way to the NFL and tbey treated his brother like family afted his tragic injury ended his career if we're talking selling points. He's not committing now he's a February guy

This is true but the problem is that we botched his recruitment trying to convince him to play safety for more than a year. It didn’t work and meanwhile he fell for Auburn and penn state. He’s gotta build back trust that we aren’t gonna flip him over to DB when he gets on campus and we’ve got to sell him on playing time (Auburn think at RB) and scheme that is constantly slandered.. for good reason

Except they've always brought up him playing rb ss a Jabril Peppers type because TB has always wanted him. Now sure he has some trust issues but they can also say they arent going hard for any rb in particular now while they may add 3 safeties in this class so just with obvious numbers they need MAR at rb

Talked to one of the hottest olinemen in the country right now Dawand Jones extremely athletic mammoth as he is 6’8 360 tackle Ben Davis high school indianapolis in who is also a standout basketball player allows him to move very well .. offer list is impressive ... he said the U would be in his top 5 but yet no offer .. look into it before it’s too late
Same thing with "Danielson Ike" OT from Rockhurst. 247 crystal ball has been 100% Miami since last year, grew up in Miami but "NO MIAMI OFFER" SMDH

Does anyone really care of Solomon goes? Not exactly a make or break guy.

Solid LBer but at 6’0 195 I’m not 100% sold. You can’t play LB in college at that size and he’s borderline speed already. Add 30 pounds to him.. will he still be effective in coverage and chasing guys to the edge? Not sure he’s athletic enough for striker either and definitely can’t be a safety.
