Shoop would be DC next year after Michigan stops paying him if Manny wins 9 games which is HIGHLY unlikely....but what Manny does not realize is that Cristobal might do the same if he comes here, ie keep Shoop along with Trob and maybe Simpson

Mario will most likely clean house and get a whole new regime in here. Maybe 1 coach stays but usually a new coach wants to start fresh with all his guys.
 
Manny admitting that recruiting is how to improve the team without mentioning player development is the reason he must be replaced. At this point he‘s trying to deflect criticism and from and new narrative. He should have gone into politics like his dad.

I’ll give him credit; this is politics 101. Kiss the *** of ur bosses, defend the University, and white knight the whole situation, while not directly addressing chit & deflecting from what the whole point of the ESPN comments. Wouldn’t be surprised if nothing happens this off season w/ this type of rhetoric.

That is a long a$$ statement but a few things that bothered me:

A) the nerve of him to bring up the 2020/2021 classes when he blatantly refuses to play them and plays upperclassmen ahead of them who dont deserve PT based on performance. Guys got alot of nerve.

b) I dont remember ESPN crew talking about resources and facilities but maybe I missed that part.

c) With that 4 page rebutal its clear he missed what ESPN was saying. What they are saying is that at other big time schools..its clear the NUMBER ONE priority is football and making the football team successful by any means. Everything else is a distant second. They make no bones about it. At Bama, football is king. Period. But from the outside looking in especially from the fans point of view, we dont get the feeling that football is king in Coral Gables. Its on the same level as intramural football thats played between the frats. Thats what they are alluding to. How else can you explain 15-16 years of a dead program outside of one season? (2017)

I would respect him if he did what Richt did and step down. Show some integrity and decency.

Using the COVID excuse. What a crock of ***** to defend Frenk and excuse the team’s poor play. Also, in what planet does he think that calling out Herb and Bear for telling the truth is rational?

Frenk, Flake, Strawley, Danny and the band all have to get their walking papers.
 
It's 84% possible more time was spent on that 4-page statement than our game plan against Michigan State. 27% of the words used within the statement were "active." 57% of those words were used in conclusions. We lead the entire NCAA in rebuttals per attack.

I just watched the YouTube clip. He’s an idiot. He mentions dorms, facilities, recruiting, etc without mentioning the coaching on the field & development, like you said. Who was the guy at UiF that could recruit well (Zook) but he couldn’t coach his way out of a box. And Manny is not a world beating recruiter to boot so he can’t even do that well.

The "rebuttal" should have been simpler:

"Everyone has an opinion. We understand the U is a national brand that draws the spotlight. We intend for our play and improvements to be our responses. We have work to do. See you on Thursday."

Of course, that'd require substantive on-field measures. Instead, we get a defensive novel with multiple irrelevant points. If they hired someone to advise on that PR, they should get their $ back. #analytics
