I have to pay $5.99/month to be called racist, and a **** in a football forum....I think not.

In all seriousness, what exactly makes you think that charging five or six bucks would suddenly make things better? Has it occurred to you that You might just get more of the same, but coming from fewer posters?

Every time I get on here I feel like I’m back in the 6th grade at Frank C. Martin in the heights.

You might shrink the numbers, but you’ll still be dealing with crazy attitudes and immaturity.

If every thread didn't devolve into a ***** session that's the same as every other devolved thread.. that'd be great. Seems like **** near every thread goes from whatever the topic was to Diaz and the staff suck.

I doubt it. That little $5-6 will change a lot and weed out much of the nonsense.

Go visit a few boards from other fan sites and see the difference. Some boards are like private catholic schools, some are like public schools, some are like working in a factory, but this place...my goodness...it is like escaped inmates roaming free.

Cut out the nonsense by introducing $$$ to the equation

Yeah, but what you’re still missing is that you’re comparing a Miami fan board to fan boards from other regions. SoFla is a different animal. That was my point. You’re not gonna suddenly get better behaved Miami fans just because there are fewer of them due to a subscription price. At the end of the day, the subscribers are still Miami fans and will still behave badly. That is the sad, but true, bottom line.

Exactly. The insanity isn't because it's a free board, it's because it's a Miami fan board. Other school's free boards aren't this insane. Other Miami pay boards are just as insane. The only common connection to the insanity is the Miami fans, not the cost.

You’ll pay it because the other sites charge too, and you’ll need to get your canes content from somewhere. And as long as they charge less for this site, you’ll find away to pony up the $$$.

We’d lose about 30% of subscribers upfront, but at least 20% of that number would be the troll element and the nonsense.

Over time, those totals will increase and we’d stabilize at about 85% from where we are now with subscribers. And it’ll be a win-win for everyone remaining on the site, because we’ll see:

1. Improved discourse between fans, without each thread devolving into a knife fight
2. Decreased troll element (not total elimination but a big decrease)
3. Improved site features, content and analysis because the guys running the site will see a big uptick in profits. Someone those profits would be reinvested into improving the quality of content and speed of release of information to the subscriber base.

I think they would rather have the ad revenue. I've been on 5 *** cruises thanks to CIS and just started my project management degree at Central Michigan
