Modernize Our Uniforms While You're At It, Manny

Does Manny D/Blake James tell Adidas the vision they have for our uniforms and Adidas produces it or how does that work?
We can give input. If Manny/the players are happy with what we're wearing, then they'll stay the same. If Adidas has an idea for a special uni, or if we have one - then we can work together to design one. There's a relationship there.

Almost every team has small accent stuff changed every year, even if it's just a different bumper on the facemask or a slight font or outline change for numbers. All of the major apparel schools also have a template or 2 (or 3) they use for all of their schools in terms of materials and the way they're made. It's all colors/design/fonts from there pretty much.

I like the unis we're wearing right now. I'm not a fan of the pickle look (green on green - look Morty, we're PICKLE CANES!!!!!!)...but I'd be OK with orange on orange (aka the Carrot look) once in a while. It looks pretty good.

The players didn't Choose those hideous tube socks.
They choose the colors and combinations for every game. If they're wearing black, it's because they voted to. If they're wearing white, it's because they voted to. I have a friend who worked on the equipment staff. When I used to ***** to him about weird color combos, he'd tell me "it's what the players want to wear".

Beat me to it. This topic was a thread killer on Grassy.
I remember when porsters use to post that the green clam helmet was confirmed. The amount of easily trolled canes was hilarious.

Offense: Modern
Defense: Modern
Uniforms: Throwback?

Our program is clearly heading in a more modern direction and our appearance should reflect that; maybe use the throwbacks we wear now as an alternate. Under Nike Miami was an innovator when it came to uniform appearance but Mark Richt sent the whole program back to the 80's with Adidas. We need any advantage we can get, and believe it or not, up-to-date uniforms is a factor when it comes to high school recruits deciding on a school (unless you're Bama and have the bags). Look at Oregon, uniforms are a big reason they are a national brand.

Just play the **** games. Who cares what they wear as long as this **** program is cleaned up?
