Ga Tech just won to become bowl eligible for the first time since 2018, hopefully they’ll give Mario a cut of the bowl money.
no games being played at all. We need better players at the lb position. We need lbs who can come up and hit and cover te’s. The lbs we’re recruiting this year and the ones we signed last year fit the description. The ones Manny left or didn’t leave and the transfers we had to bring in are good but not good enough. There is no quick fix to our team. The sins of previous recruiting is the reason we’re are here, period. Go back and look at the 19,20 and 21 classes. That should be the foundation of our team. Not Mario’s transition class and transfers. And certainly not the true freshman class.

whoever still believes mario deserves to be the HC of the miami hurricanes football program after his first two seasons is insane
The portal is not the cure all to bringing in talent, sorry it doesn’t work that way. And since we’re bringing up Louisvilles turn around, there has to be context. Would this massive turnaround be possible if they didn’t dodge every contender in the acc? You do realize we played the toughest conference schedule right? There is no excuse with the portal anymore. We'll just disagree there. Maybe though, we got as good as we could with whatever NIL money we had. That's the biggest player in the game right now as far as recruiting goes.
I think a few things happened today. UofL has talent on offense. They're solid all around. They've got a good coach too and he beat Guidry.
Brohm and company beat Mario and company. The season overall, it's no comparison. He's turned that team around, in one year. There's no excuses and he had holes going into the season.
We need to quit excusing things with Mario.
No.I'll say it again, that set of downs before the half, up 7, and to not really press the tempo and try to go up by 2 scores, was a killer. Especially knowing that L'Ville was getting the ball to start the 2nd half.
Also, I truly think UM has to start looking at going more up-tempo and getting a dual threat QB. Lets be honest, Miami for the most part is hard to watch, we are really boring compared to most college teams nowadays. Is this a style that blue-chip recruits want to play in?

Mario had a treble Lawrence / deshaun Watson in Justin Herbert and he wasn’t Clemson level.Everyone brings up Mario's style of offense he prefers but truth be told Mario is such a bad gameday coach I don't think it matters what style of offense we run we would still be underachieving with this team. Lets face it Mario and Dabo are one in the same and until he finds his Deshaun Watson or Trevor Lawrence were in trouble
I know some very successful sales people who are pretty stupid. Unfortunately our head coach is a great salesperson and pretty stupidI’d be surprised if Mario’s I.Q. is above 90. Seriously the dumbest, most inept game day corch in the history ourcour program.
I’m just saying that they all mess up at times, chill out man. I know he been a beast, but most of these guys in our defense had been playing well before this game. Everyone messes up at times thoughNo way Cisco is in the same category at #20. He may make a bad play here and there, everyone does, but he has been a beast at MLB this season.
Seems Mario is married to bro style though. Can he change? Absolutely. Does he see the need to change? I have no clue.
I keep hearing this but do you realize the top 4 teams going into the playoffs are all non duel threat QB's?- Tyler Van Dyke had a solid game, yeah, we can say it (24 for 39, 327 yard, 1 TD). I still would like to see a dual-threat quarterback moving forward. Too many times you see runs being chased down from the backside as there is no threat of him pulling the ball at the mesh point. But hats off to him for playing well today, regardless.
We tried to tell them. Now the program is stuck for the foreseeable future. It’s going to be a long ride.I guess I'm certifiable because I think he deserves to be the HC now. There were approximately 3 posters on this site in total (me and a couple wise dudes) that were praying UM would do a real coaching search and hire Kiffin instead of Cristobal. We knew we needed a coach who get the most out of the current roster and get to 10 wins quickly. We needed something to get fans and the media excited. Caveman football and a slow multi year rebuild wasn't going to sell tickets. If Kiffin was really a mercenary like the pro Cristobal crowd claimed and was going to take a bigger job after tasting success, then we could go after Cristobal later. He'd still be at Oregon and wasn't going anywhere. And the recruiting difference between Kiffin and Cristobal would end being a wash because a 10 win season would attract as many recruits as Cristobals "recruiting magic" in a 6 win season.
But despite all that, the pro Cristobal crowd said there was no debate - Cristobal was the superior hire and that was the end of the discussion. It was so definitive that I had no choice but to agree. And since that's what everyone wanted, then Cristobal should get to coach out his full contract. The ONLY thing firing him before the end of the contract will accomplish is limiting the options for the next HC because we won't have the money for both Cristobal's buyout and a quality HC, so we'll just end up picking another bum who will last 2.5 years and get fired, and then keep doing that over and over again. Cristobal is our coach- criticize him all day long but flying the banners is dumb and underhanded - especially if you are one of the many posters that wanted to hire Cristobal in the first place.
Fact of the matter is Miami is not a blue blood football program. We had an incredible, unexpected 18 year run from’83 to ‘01 that included a 10 year absence from one championship to another.I'm tired of people mocking my alumni man. We are blue blood in terms of championship history. I'm tired of the same old **** just a different day man. I mean they have the resources but we always get out coached and schemed. We have more talent than most of our opponents just they are not coached or utilized correctly. If um football can't do better I vote to end football. No one goes to the games because it's too far and they don't want to be let down. They have been let down for the best part of 20 years. It's like freaking ground hogs day every Saturday when they play a team with a pulse. It's unacceptable.
Yea but doesn’t he have a fantastic road record??Mario has 0 regulation ACC home wins his 2 years as Miami coach. Inconceivable.gif
All of them can run , move the chains and must be accounted for in the running game. That alone makes defense very hard. That beats the heck out of a statue.I keep hearing this but do you realize the top 4 teams going into the playoffs are all non duel threat QB's?
