Makes sense... but I litereally cant take another 6 win season..I cant and dont wanna see the big picture right now...... Im just tryin to survive for tomorrow..Gimme 9 wins and I will deal with the future in the future

Exactly. IF Golden somehow lucks his way to 9 wins and an ACC championship game berth I'll deal with the larger consequences. 6 wins and that cautious patty cake defense is spirit killing. He wins 9 games and that guy is gonna get the **** out of here so fast. Perfect scenario is we have a good season, he looks like a coach on the rise again and he jumps to a big 10 school. Illinois would eat his BS right up.

This is most likely the future face of the Head Coach for our beloved Miami Hurricanes like it or not! All we can hope for at this point is that after having spent to with Nick Saban that Mario has learned that he needs to be more of a CEO and have to two killer coordinators that are X's & O's budding geniuses with position coaches that are great recruiters and good coaches. Hopefully Dave Aranda's Wisconsin impresses the **** out of Mario during Bama's opening game and Mario puts Aranda on his short list of DC's he would want to hire at Miami.

Then Miami would get that attacking defense we all crave, and it would come from a base 3-4 defense that literally brings pressure on almost EVERY DOWN.

It's because seemingly little changes can make really, really big differences. Also, I don't think simply a couple more wins, 8, keeps his job. These little changes need to make a real difference, and he knows it. 8 wins means we probably started 4-0, then went 4-4 down the stretch. That will please NONE of us. Maybe 8 wins keeps him around, and that was my biggest fear, but the season will end badly if we start 4-0 and end 8-4. We can't be .500 against teams with a pulse and have him keep his job.

Here's hoping these changes actually amount to something significant. If not, please let the door hit him on the way out. Hard.

Of course you are right Terd but sometimes it's hard to be that disciplined mentally and emotionally when you have been subjected to the garbage feminine football that we all have. I'm the first one to tell people that Golden is a joke and a buffoon but the last 12 years of incompetence have really worn on me. As much as I despise Golden, I for once would like to see this talent upfront used in a way that plays to their strengths. I think we are all literally starving for some decent football.

Have no fear my friends because in the long run it won't matter. Maybe Golden manages to win 9 or 10 games which I seriously doubt but if he does, he will jump at the first decent offer. A more likely scenario is that Golden will be the dunce he is 1 gap, or 2 gap and that he will manage to chronically under achieve despite fielding the most talented team of his tenure. So basically I'm an optimist and think he is gone either way. I just want to see something halfway watchable because Lord knows we have the talent.
 
If you guys want to hear what a real Defensive Coordinator with the 3-4 scheme can do; watch this video and you want Aranda as Miami's future DC, regardless of Head coach. Keep in mind Wisconsin had a top 5 defense in most categories and Dave Aranda encourages free lancing within his system! The player in the video rambles on a lot but just bare it and listen to how he describes Aranda's defensive schemes as he compares it to what he did at Clemson.

Golden is a 10 win guy on his best day and will never out-coach any of the other elite coaches (Saban, Myer) who can also get elite talent. Our best case scenario is he wins a little, jumps ship, we get Butch or Gary Patterson and 2016 class stays together because of wins and quality of new coach.

Eh. I say let him try to have an attacking D and then let some dumbass school offer him their job because he would 95% chance take it...worst case scenario he falls on his chubby cheeks and has another failure losing season, which is what we're all expecting anyways lol
