Miss State new #1

Teams mirror the persona of their coach.

Real ego and confidence can be contagious ... Especially once the results start to match the talk.

I remember Golden telling us we shouldn't have an inferiority complex, yet he's perfectly content with mediocre results against mediocre competition.

I read an article on Mullen where he blamed the entire Miss State admin, staff, and players for getting the previous 5 coaches fired, and said that time was over ... 6 years later, he's got Miss State with the #1 ranking in the country and 3 consecutive wins over top 10 teams.

So, are we giving Golden 2 more seasons?

Dan Mullen and his ego doing work.
Golden has in there head that it's hard to win football games and that they should be proud of themselves if they win a game. I've heard players say it more then once. It's the face of mediocrity

It started with a Coker gem. "They're on scholarship too" While true, that kind of talk has no business in a locker room.

Wasn't that Eric Winston's line?

those recruiting classes are paying off for ole miss too, last week they mentioned ole miss was 5-0 for the first time since 1962, who would of thought two mississippi teams would be in the top 5

But those recruiting rankings don't matter tho.............
I say this if u get a top 3 recruiting class u gonna make a move but when u sit at 9-15 u won't do **** unless u have a major developer and talent evaluator which we don't.

We are definitely in good hands. I'm not worried. Who ever heard of a successful coach having a ****y attitude? It's crazy.

Glad we passed on this conceited meanie pants. We may go 7-5 but at least Al Golden is nice.

This is his last year at Miss State --- can you imagine living in that State much less recruiting ..... this is an amazing run he is having with a special QB but year in and year out he will be behind Bama, Auburn and LSU........ I know he has beat 2/3 this year but if you want to win the big won - go to Florida

7-5 is wishful thinking

True indeed dude is florid as next coach I know that for a fact, them dudes will throw it at him.

I've been on the BBB train for awhile now. However, I would be happy as **** if we got Stoops. Someone tell me why either of these options can't happen..

So, I just looked at the 247 recruiting rankings for Ole Miss and Mississippi State since 2010, and they certainly not anywhere near top 3 or 9-15 range when averaged out:

Ole Miss
2014 - 15
2013 - 8
2012 - 47
2011 -20
2010 -22

Mississippi State
2014 - 35
2013 - 25
2012 - 22
2011 - 34
2010 - 34

Pretty interesting numbers. Sure, a team must have a minimum amount of talent to be successful but good coaching is what takes a team to the next level. Point being, Miami has more than enough talent to win big but poor coaching is causing Miami to lose.

^^^^^that should be damning proof that our woes are at the coaching level. Smacks in the collective faces of the "Miami just doesn't have enough talent" crowd. Bunch of fck'g losers.... Just like that coach of theirs they worship.
