Haha. No, but Diaz is quickly eclipsing him as the most hated Canes coach ever. Diaz lousy scheme is just slightly better than D’no’s, but I’m pretty sure D’no’s units never tackled this poorly and didn’t regress every year.

No. And we never will. Dorito was a grade A piece of ****t, both as a coach and as a person.

With Manny we can hope that one of the players gets lucky and makes a tackle. With Dorito he mandated that the team back peddle to the point where no one could actually tackle an opponent.
Exactly. Under Dorito, the opponent already had 5 easy yards before first contact. Under Diaz, the opponent gets 5+ more yards after first contact, whether that be at line of scrimmage or 10 yards downfield.

Which game was it where the line of scrimmage was 20 yards wide and we lined up helmet to helmet?

No. This dude is the reason Manny is our HC in the first place. Manny was a once fired, journeyman coach who we hyped up because he put something decent on the field in a conference littered with garbage offenses. Outside of the ND game in 2017 Manny's defense got cooked against anything remotely functional.

I know what you are talking about, but I cannot remember the specific game. I know in the Notre Dame game, they ran the same running play 5 times in a row for 10 yds each run until Dorito finally compensated by putting another player over to that side. Mind boggling
