we ran for 338 ....

and king handed off on the mesh 95% of the time ...

if he kept and made the right read we would have rushed for 400+ ... in our first game ... with no spring ball ... against a defense that was top 25 against the run

we ran for 51 yards against central michigan

not a debbie downer or a pumper, but i think we can all agree on these facts

He definitely missed his "keep" read on several read option plays. Some of that is rust. I think next week will give us a clearer picture of what/who we are.
I agree and noticed this as well. I can only guess the game plan was to get the RB's the ball and keep him from being hit unless it was a scramble on rollouts or passing. The offense is going to be so hard to contain when we pulls the ball and runs himself and open up opportunities for even more gashes.

Every **** team has long run plays mixed in with plays that go for 2.5 average. Miami ran the ball for over 300 yards in the first game of the season against an above average run defense. And with a QB who hasn't played in over a year (right?), a ****** OL last year, two true freshman, and a sophomore RB.

That's a win for Miami.

True, i seen at least 5 rpo's he should've kept! I think he wanted to be a team player first game.
