Mirabal was the voice of reason.

Did he say he told Chaney that or did he say he should have taken a timeout and reminded Chaney to use two hands? Either way mentioning Chaney was not the right thing to do in my opinion.

Side not Mario has a history of not knelling.
Last year at Houston Shannon kneeled every game he lead and had ball last.
I just watched and Mario’s exact words were “I told Don, ‘Don, hold the ball with two hands on this handoff. And if there’s time for one more handoff after that, let’s get it in before time expires. Two hands for that one, too.”

I don’t blame a kid either, but a 22 year old man? TVD was “supposed” to be in the league this year. That ain’t a kid, yet he didn’t have any push back to the dumb playcall? To the point he didn’t call timeout himself? Like where’s the leadership? Where’s the brains? All around **** show lol
good grief

The HC is to blame here. the HEAD coach getting paid 80 mil to make sure things are done correctly and make command decisions thst win games.

There isn’t ANYONE else to blame. The HC is the person who allowed everything to transpire because he’s not savvy enough to do the right things that win games. It’s been stated before he has lost a game in the exact same manner before. Therefore his hard head *** doesn’t learn. Literally the exact same thing happened a few years before and he’s not smart enough to learn from his mistakes. This is on the HC and no one else.

Anyone who is blaming Dawson, Cheney, TVD, the refs, the weather, or whatever else is just a blind Mario supporter who doesn’t want to say they were told so

This is exactly what everyone feared with this guy as the HC.

I don't want to paint anyone with "you obviously never played team sports" brush but some of the **** being said is insane. What are some of you talking about in saying that TVD or Chaney should've told their coaches to **** off? Just take it upon themselves and kneel? That aint how it works. You do what the coaches tell you, specifically in college.

Remember during Golden's time here and he would blame players for going rogue and thats why his defense didn't work? When we all knew the only way some guys made any plays was to do that. That DT Luther Robinson got playing time cut for making plays but not doing it in the structure of the defense. Guys want to play so they'll do what their coaches say. You think Mario the dictator is gonna just pat Chaney on the back if he takes several handoffs and falls down? Disobeying a playcall/order? Not a chance.
Spot on. People saying this have the benefit of playing the result and Mario (and Dawson to a muchhhh lesser extent) being humiliated and ridiculed internationally.

This wouldn't have been TVD or Chaney essentially calling an unauthorized audible because they wanted to bs more aggressive or something. A coach might get irate over that but many would end up at least kinda respecting it. This would've actually been the opposite, undermined whatever macho stupid philosophy was going on, AND would've implied that TVD and/or Chaney think Mario and Dawson are morons.

I absolutely don't think that sans this almost unprecedented level of ridicule that Mario/Dawson would've been like "Good job keeping us in check, being cognizant of the clock, and taking the safe route there! Keep it up and they'll stop paying us and will just let you guys coach yourselves!"

The fact that this tweet gained so much traction without many people actually going to check the video is hilarious. There’s no way to confirm what he said, especially from that video.

Mirabal was just trying to give voice to what Matt Lee was actually signaling to him from the field.

I'm joking, of course. The only person on our sideline that was screaming about taking a knee was Ed Hudak....and Mario just thought he was shooting the **** about Kaepernick againnnn with some rando.

Obviously, I am just posting video evidence to show what was on tv copy.. I wasnt on headset, didnt know I had to add disclaimer, All I said is he tries to get attention, idk what the **** happened, where did I say any thing definitive without even know?!
We always suspected that you were an undercover Mirabalista. Now we have irrefutable evidence.

😂😂😂😂😂

And that makes him complicit. That shows he was fully aware of what was going on, & if this is the conversation that was had, I’m even more concerned. Why tell a RB to have two hands on the ball, when said RB had no business running the ball from the 1:57 mark on? EVERY SIMPLETON know when u get to under two minutes, u’ve forced ur opponents to bleed their time outs & it’s now 1st & 10, the only plays to be called from there on is V-Formation.

So, trying to recap what he told Don is bull chit. Don should’ve never been carrying the ball, which is why the broadcast team on the ACCN kept asking y is Miami running plays? We had a 99.9% chance of winning, and somehow we didn’t. The only silver lining I can glean from this is I now have greater confidence in winning the lotto based upon what I saw Saturday Night.

good grief
You don’t agree? Any LEADER isn’t handing that ball off, no matter what the coach says. Chaney over here fighting for extra yards too 🤣 players were clueless.

Don’t get me wrong, that starts up top, but it’s WILD there was no push back from players. Mario/Dawson made the stupidest call & no one had the balls to say something while waiting 35 seconds before snap? Not one single player?

Mind boggling ending. Never will I speak about that again. Can’t wait to watch it 37 times this upcoming weekend

Okay, listen. I just went back and watched the game and the game clock from 1:18 to .55 and yes, Mirabol said something in Dawson's direction, but there's no way to even know what Mirabol said.
Regardless Mario was told the options multiple times and still said “ run it “. His reasons for that are almost as dumb as the decision to run it. There’s analysts and other coaches with instant stats / analytics on hand for every situation you can imagine. Mario just chose to run it three times when others were saying “ kneel it”. He’s the head coach and chose different. Nobody else gets that blame.

Then he needs to have something rammed down his throat for being an arrogant tone deaf Twaat.
Mario told them to run it , end of story. People blaming players and other coaches are just wrong. If Mario says run it the next play will be a run and Dawson immediately looks at play sheet. Mario even bringing Dawsons name up or insinuating him is not cool. Knowing what MC was told and still rolled with a play other than kneeling. I understand some here don’t want to put all the blame on the head guy but you have no choice , sorry.

I trust you brother and if you say that Mario said run it then it's all all him. Actually regardless of any particular scenario it's all on Mario because he is the HC. I was bagging on Dawson for his role in it but it's true that it's Mario's show and he calls the shots.

Now that we have that clear can you tell me if the players/rocker room is ok? Was Mario's addressing the situation received well by the players? Are they putting this behind them or do we have a possibility of a rift forming because of all this garbage? Thank you.

Edit. It would be such a shame if all the bonds that have been built begin to break because of this. These players and coaches have worked too **** hard to throw it all away because of this no matter how much of an imbecile Mario is for not kneeling, it's not worth losing everything they have built thus far.

Edit. Crickets ....
