Don Bailey says, Hold my Natty Light...how can someone that small ever have played OL
Isn’t Don Bailey 6’3”?Don Bailey says, Hold my Natty Light...
I think 6'2...but his *** only weighed like 240Isn’t Don Bailey 6’3”?
That’s the same as mirabal holding four gold barsI think 6'2...but his *** only weighed like 240
**** did not realize — always figured he just looked small next to Zagacki’s massive cranium@ben .....6'3 255
His mamma must have put him in the “Hot Cycle” wash…He was a 6’3 265 pound mauler back then , he just shrunk with age like most folks
And? You really think that you have to be built like Nate Newton or Bryant McKinnie to teach OL? You are going to be sorely disappointed when you look at a lot of the better OL coaches in both the pros and in the NFL. Nick Saban was never a quick DB, guess he doesn't know anything about DB play either.Making an observation about his size is not criticism — unless you don’t like hearing the truth. FWIW I come from a family of 5’4 people and none of them played football, much less o line.

My reason for starting the thread was to see if anyone saw mirabal during his playing days. He was all dade first team if I’m not mistaken. So was wondering what does an all dade 5’4” lineman look like? Was he a nasty leverage guy? A technician? Was he like 190 pounds back then?**** - ya’ll petty as ****
He also played in the 80s. Don’t think there were any 300 lb+ monsters on Columbus’s schedule back then.
Low center of gravity. I mean, lowEST center of gravity.Played with leverage. No doubt.
5’4” 215 holy ****Excerpt from a Manny Navarro article 1/10/2022:
"By the time they were seniors, Mario and Alex were best friends, leading the Explorers to a 7-3 season. Mirabal weighed 215 pounds and started at guard. Cristobal, a foot taller, weighed only 10 pounds more than Mirabal and played tackle right next to him. Nobody offered Mirabal a scholarship. Cristobal, whose older brother Lou was at UM, had lots of suitors."
Alex is 5'4".... I believe Mario blocked for both of them in high school.
