kill retired for health reasons. Not that we are going to be competing against them, but just another job opening

Kill was a good coach/great fit for them. Good luck with that one, Minny. I wonder if they'll beg Dungy?

There are plenty of job openings across the country. Golden would fit nicely in Minnesota a place with not high expectations and he could recruit the big old boys to fit his system.

Beware the chipper.

Other than the awful weather...not a bad place to live. Was surprised when I went up there this summer how nice it is up there.

I'm hearing they desperately want Mario, Schiano, and Chudzinski. They're absolutely blown away by their coaching trees, past success, and football acumen.

We'll have to pay $10M to get even one of them.

Let's hope they take Mario off the market.

He was a good coach. If they can get Tony Dungy, that would be pretty darn good. Tony could get another NFL HC gig if he wanted. I think he is content being on TV.

Yep. I've heard Dungy as recent as a few months ago state that he's never coaching again on any level but he's the only "name" guy that comes to mind with a connection to that program.

As was mentioned, I also think that Golden would actually be a good fit there. It won't happen but that's one of the few P5 programs he might be able to have "success" at.

Why can't they go get Babers or Campbell? Minnesota, like Pitt, is a program that may want to take a chance on a **** coordinator.

They very well might. Surprisingly, just saw that Kill was making about the same that we were paying Golden.
