Mount St. Mary's transfer Miles Wilson committed to Miami (Fl) on Thursday, he told Scout.

"The relationship that I've built with Coach [Larrañaga] and the school as far as academics, it's just a perfect match," Wilson said.

Wilson, a 6-foot-5 scoring guard out of Maryland, took an official visit to Miami the weekend of June 3rd..

"I've like them from the jump," Wilson said about Miami. "They've been showing me love and kept making me a priority. I'm excited about the opportunity they were presenting and giving me. I felt like I couldn't turn it down.

Wilson also took an official visit to Auburn and considered scholarship offers from Virginia, Gonzaga, Virginia Tech, Ohio State, West Virginia and Penn State.

As a freshman, Wilson averaged 11.8 points and 3.9 rebounds per game. Wilson connected on 38 three-pointers, while shooting just above 36-percent from the three-point line.

Got exactly what we needed in a sit out, a combo guard with size who can score and isn't afraid of the highest level of competition.
Now if we can land a grad transfer stretch 4 we're set.

Good stuff.

Doesn't look too optimistic for recruiting SGs at the moment for 2018, so this is big
