I just hope they…the powers that B don’t botch this up..New AD and have Alonzo N some capacity on the payroll…I don’t give a **** who the coach is as long as he has experience as HC…this whole deal is a lay or slam dunk..get it right this time guyz Plzzz

YESSS!!! In some alternate universe where things go right for the Canes at this crossroads, Mario would come and either keep Lashlee or bring in Mullen as OC/AHC and Muschamp as DC. This makes too much sense for all parties, so it won't go down like this, but for funsies, could you imagine that trio staying together for even 2 years? We would run the ACC the way Clemson has.
That staff would be hilarious for the 2024 tilt at Gainesville.

Lose by 5 because the other team scored 55
THIS!!!

Lots of talk on here about how many points we can score with this guy, or that guy...but I get bat**** crazy watching our defense. This absolutely has to change. I am soooo tired of hearing about we rank so highly in tackles for loss, but yet we also rank so highly in missed tackles an big plays given up,

Give Mario 6.5-7 million per year, and give Muschamp about 6 or 7 over 2-3 years, he just got about a 12 milly buyout from USC, and having his defense, would be nuts. Mullen is about to get a big buyout from Florida, so if nothing else he could be an analyst...otherwise **** him, keep Lashlee around to make sure we dont lose too many offensive players to the portal, with all the young talent we have.

If we just simply tackled better, we would be 10-1 right now, even with all the penalties, poor scheme, etc.

...scooooopppy snack of the day. Herbie just didn't come up with blasting us on his own. Did you ever think while you were watching him on college game day, "where did this come from?" How do you think he was so keyed in on what was going on? he was the conduit for a well laid out plan....

....chew on that. I'll drop this nugget in this post instead of starting a new thread that will blow everyone up.

...you are welcome.

Love that Mario is the clear and far away #1 choice but please God someone tell this guy to get himself a top flight OC who can keep TVD on his current trajectory... Or ****, keep Lashlee for all I care! But we absolutely cannot allow TVD to be neutered the way Herbert was at Oregon. Would be an absolute travesty and the fans would turn on Mario in his first year if this happened because we have seen what TVD is capable of in a certain type of offense. I am really concerned about this factor when hiring Mario.
Oregon's current offensive coordinator didn't coach Herbert.

Herbert was coached by Marcus Arroyo. Arroyo was hired by Willie Taggart and was co-OC with Mario under Taggart. When Taggart took the FSU job, Mario got promoted to head coach and he kept Arroyo as his OC. Arroyo got the HC position at UNLV and Mario hired Joe Moorehead as OC for the 2020-2021 seasons. Moorehead has had success as an OC and HC but he's been inconsistent. He was OC at Akron and then UCONN the year they went to the Fiesta Bowl. He then went 38-13 as head coach at Fordham. He parlayed that into an OC gig at Penn State. HIs offense at PSU averaged 37.6 and 41.4 points per game during his two seasons there. He took the Mississippi State HC job after Mullen got hired by Florida but got fired after the 2019 season. His offenses at Oregon have averaged 31.3 and 32.7 points per game respectively. Good but nothing spectacular. He runs a power spread that relies on a mobile quarterback similar to Dan Mullen and Urban Meyer's offensive systems. I don't think Mario is attached to him particularly so, he might or might not end up here should Mario be the guy. Personally, I'd prefer they keep Lashlee but they could do a lot worse.

Mario is the play.
Mas has been the guy who is pushing everything his first year on the board.
Blake was fired by Frenk. His call.
Blake biggest issue was not fighting for money from adminstration.
People leading the seach want AD to push administration for reasources.
Firm was hired but only for optics.
AD inside track is Jurich.
Big shift in BOT with new blood taking over.
Blake James refused to talk with Manny buyout after FSU.
Then Blake was fired. Not sure of the logic.
Jurich would likely agree with Alonzo due to age and scandel.
Florida is not in on Lane and Mario. Either would be Miami 1st.
Kirk Herbstreet was the catalyst of everything.
Mario is looking to demand resorces like Miami never has.
20 to 30 million is the floor.
John Ruiz is new money that will be the money behind everything.
It's seems like Mario is the man.
Cribby been told us this. Mike Ryan is on CIS?

That is my biggest gripe, Wario will mess TVD up just like Herbert, and he will consistently underperform in the big game.

Lashlee will be long gone before Mario assembles his staff. Mario is going to hire someone who runs his ground and pound, ball control offense. We can only hope TVD does not regress. Last night during the Chargers - Steelers game Collinsworth was literally saying how underdeveloped Herbert was coming out of college.
**** if we hire Wario, it's another 3-4 years of mediocrity. I'm over it, we do not need a **** ball control offense in 2022. **** even Saban changed his mind and let Bryce air it out. It would be funny if TVD transferred, because he knows he wants to be in an offense that will showcase his talent.

I don't understand the magnitude of the excitement in this thread. The majority of the info already posted on this board in some shape or form.
