If Jurch is the AD the rest will turn out fine. Get the best top dog and he will make sure all the other dogs are good.
Jurich (or someone similarly strong) is the key even more so than the coach.

my opinion - must secure AD ASAP. he will need to "evaluate" manny which will probably take a a week or two. then they can begin the search for a new HFC.

Also leaves the door open for Mario to keep Lashlee, which isn’t the worst thing. His fascination with the inside zone on 3rd/4th and short could be solved with Mario fixing the online.

i dont thihk it is something that gets fixed easily. the current guys have improved dramatically in pass protection, but do you really see them improving on run blocking all things being equal?

I cringe at the thought of boos raining down at HRS when TVD ends the game with this stat line after a loss to Virgina Tech:

17-24 for 205 yards a 1 TD. And we ran the ball 40 times.

What what was said was that Blake made due with what was allocated. Never pushed the adminstration or BOT for more money resources. Whole Ath Dept had this mindset due to him being this way. He was you eat what you kill. People pushing the new shift found this wrong and that is one of the reason they are looking for aggressive AD.

I believe this but think about how dumb Blake James must be if this is accurate. This is one of the few people in history who has ever been fired for not asking for more money.

I’m more worried about the AD hire then the coaching hire. If they make a good choice at AD it shows this school is actually intending on doing things differently and I trust they will choose a competent coach

Neither do I, if it was up to me I’d go new OC. But he does have our offense in a much better place than his predecessors so I also wouldn’t be totally opposed to it.

If it’s Mario, I’d expect he would hire a staff with a national reach. Obviously Mirabal and Bobby Williams and maybe their CB coach. Just keep DeRuyter away from here.

Probably, worth a shot though. Tell em he doesn’t have to recruit anyone but a couple QB’s that he zeroes in on per year.

Wouldn't Mullen's settlement at UF be compromised if he coaches immediately, thus so many terminated coaches taking off-field analyst roles?
No one remembers the impression that a-hole left when interviewing for our HC gig a few years back? Would be surprised if that guy doesn't eventually slide down to a lower profile HC job.

Legitimate concerns with Mario. Especially with the Oline we have, we'll struggle even trying to run that type of offense.

hopefully he's smart enough to adjust to the talent he has
