My take for what it’s worth

Deal is settled with Mario. Part of that deal to convince Mario to come is giving him complete control of football program, including some duties typical of the AD. The deal also includes Mario signing off on the AD.

Nunez perhaps wanted more control of the football program and school said no, because that control was already promised to Mario, so the that deal fell through.

For immediate success, Mario is much more important for the program than the AD. Miami is willing to do anything for Mario. Their AD search has been slow because Mario deal is tied into whatever AD we get.

- Eddie Nunez overplayed his hand.
- Lemonis is anti Manny and anti search firm and anti Status Quo. Wants Mario here.
- Mario knows what can be done here especially if he has all of the support in place that he wants.
- Samson is ok with giving the power to Mario. It's the way college sports is headed. Whoever the AD is should just worry about the other sports and let Mario have the power on football.

Movie: 14 Peaks
- Mountaineer from Nepal who decided he was going to climb all of them over 8k meters (Everst, K2, etc) in the world within 7 months.
- It was like "Free Solo" on steroids
- Very Dangerous climbs
- During filming of the movie, he took picture of the Everest traffic trying to reach summit that went viral all over the world.
- Led to a Twin Peaks discussion - 29 degree beers are a hit in the South Florida heat and the ***** (I will not add a booty gif).
- LeBatard said he never saw the show Twin Peaks.
- Samson signed off by saying he was going to Twin Peaks.

I swear whoever is leaking g false info trying to tarnish the school and program need a size 17 www right square up the crack of their axxes AFTER getting fired.

IF Manny were already gone, then I think this time frame would be easier to take. Since most of us want Manny gone, the fact he is still here is concerning and grating nerves.

I guess the one thing working in their favor in terms of moving slowly is that the two rumored top HC candidates… Mario and Lane are both still available.

See that's the issue.

I get the Mario hype but we are pinning everything on him like he's Saban or Belichick, here to save us from the abyss.

Issue if you don’t think he’s the guy.

He’s a long term solution guy. He may be to UM what Mark Richt was to Georgia. Maybe never wins it but keeps the program clean and very competitive. I think that’s a wet dream for the university compared to what we have had.
