Any chance the Cane's will move on from him? He doesn't develop any of our CBs. He rarely puts our CBs in the NFL and when he does they are late draft picks. Our CBs have poor technique and constantly have their back turned when the ball is in the air. He's a poor recruiter tbh... He just lost a recruiting battle to UCF and the only CB we have in this class is Marcus Clark who is converting from WR. It wouldn't effect our class if we moved on from him. It might be the perfect time in my opinion

Rumph's issue to me is recruiting. He can't seem to close the big dogs and can't seem to keep fallback options on the line. As far as development Rumph by all appearances is a great coach.

I'd rather guys like Banda, Barry, Patka, Enos, Baker, and Stubblefield go and some guys who can coach and recruit come in. Guys like Rumph serve a purpose, guys who can't coach and can't recruit are wastes.
Banda is a wayyyyy better coach then Rumph. He's actually developed some quality safeties.

No one our defensive staff can recruit no idea why this site only picks on Rumph.

At least Rumph had Al blades playing well. Banda for w/e reason always rotated Bubba and Hall out instead of playing them together. Our LB depth was **** because of Diaz , the great Ragon played. Old *** Stroud was retiring and had Patchen starting over GR15 and could not do **** against FIU. He also can’t recruit

Man, listen --

I'm all for trashing Rumph's recruiting this cycle. But for the love of God, keep that same energy with Banda who has easily done a worse job recruiting than Rumph has.

Banda took Gurvan Hall and Amari Carter turned him into AJ highsmith and Vaughn Telemaque. He’s absolutely terrible. That’s that Cuban connection though. All talk. All fluff. We needed a complete overhaul of both sides of the ball but Manny truly thinks he’s a defensive genius.

Banda is significantly worse than Rumph in terms of player development.

There are also rumors that Rumph has had to help him with getting safeties lined up properly during practice.
Johnson,Redwine,Bolden,Carter,Colbert. All of these will be or our NFL guys. I'm definitely going to have to go with Banda on this one. Our safeties look way more polished the last few years over our CBs.

Whatre you basing this on ?

Jaquan, Sheldrick, and Rayshawn were already good before Banda, who didnt even recruit them.

The only good Safety right now is Bolden, who is a transfer.

Gurvans aight.

His unit may have the most missed tackles on the defense.

The safety play hasn't been amazing by any means. Hall and Bolden are plus athletes and weren't playing lights out. Robert Knowles was the most consistent player by far. By all indications his "development" finally cements when the player is a Senior.

Which of his safety recruits has he developed?

As for corners. Bandy last year was statistically one of the best cover corners in the ACC, this year Blades statistically was one of the best. Rumph's issue is he needs to recruit guys ready to play sooner. As it stands Bandy would be a great nickel and Ivey ideally would be the 4th CB. The issue is Rumph swings for the 4 and 5 stars and then doesn't seem to have fallback options other than development players.

Hall and Carter both had a quality season. I'm not sure what you are talking about
