They can’t pull the trigger due to the financial aspect.

I don’t think firing him today vs at the end of the year does much financially for them.

They are making a mistake to our benefit keeping him around and I ******* love it!!

im glad theyre keeping norvell. with lane likely to UF, we need every advantage we can get to remain dominant in the state. we benefitted from bad FSU and UF. UF should be better under Lane.

If Lane goes to UiF, that would be very bad for us. He has been top 10 at Ole Miss.

He would kill recruits over the head with Mario’s offensive ineptness compared to his track record at Ole Miss. likely would take Jennings with him to be QB.

hes not as good of a recruiter as mario but hes a good x and o coach.

but now with NIL being a recruiter is negated. if the pocket book is full, the recruits will join in.

the issue we have is that only mario is getting this bag and no one else. we will see if we made the right choice back then with mario vs lane if lane does end up taking the UF job. if he doesnt sign an extension this year, hes gone.

What they’re praying for is a 7-5 finish and beating UF.
 
$65-80 million total buy out per these guys (whom would know) for Norvell and staff.

Norvell also gave a $4 million donation to FSU, which he would get back for getting fired.

Note: This was recorded and posted prior to the news release but they said this was a possibility of a statement.
