I will never understand the amount of affection for a one dimensional coach like Leach. Yet not a single word of desire for Peterson who just beat him.

No one that runs the Air Raid runs it the same way that Leach does, that's what people don't get, Leach's style of Air Raid is the extremist version that is very easily defeated & any team they face with a halfway decent Defenses always shuts them down.

But his students realize that the passing only brand of the Air Raid is bound to fail. That's why for Leach being such an offensive guru, he's never a serious candidate for any big time job that opens up, he's not a program builder & doesn give two sh*ts about anything other than throwing the football on every snap lol.

So what? Nothing on the line in that game. He's got balls...good enough for me...pay for a top notch DC, I'd be ready to roll....why the **** not ? What real coach are we waiting on?

I love all you ******* coaching experts, who watch as I do, EVERY **** time, Miami takes the cheap aas way out...and want to argue about what kind of coach Leach or Butch Davis are? How much bigger of a risk were those "rookies" compared to ******* Manny Diaz oh gurus?

I think it’s pretty clear Peterson is happy in Washington. Seems like the perfect place for him to do well. There are no demands there. As long as he makes the rose bowl or conf. Title game once every 5-6 years he can have 1-5 loss seasons and everything will be fine.

Another plus is his instate rival is corched by an absolute bum, who can't croot. So its a double plus.
 
Everytime Leach loses a game, the Al Golden fan club starts a thread to congratulate themselves.

Mike Leach would be the cheap and easy way out, tho.

And not for nothing but alot of the coaching experts on here you mentioned and elsewhere were right about Golden, and most so far have been right about Manny.
Just bc we're troglodytes doesnt mean we dont know a fraud when we see one.

I wont go so far as to call Mike Leach a fraud, but hes definitely a lemon. The myth has always been greater than the reality.

I agree, but if you're the goal is to find the best coach you can, why would anyone keep hyping the one that sucks and ignore the good one? People here talk of Leach as though he's the next JJ but has only been mired in mediocrity because of his location.

Typical snowflake from #cult45 . Attack the reporter because you can't beat your rival and continually get exposed. He wouldn't last in the SFL spotlight.
