Mike Leach......LMAO

Just win, baby.

Yup. Offset that 1.6 million by the amount of money that Leach has brought in by having a top 10 team and an exciting product to watch. I'd buy a ticket to watch any Leach coached team, because I want to be entertained. Richts offense is the football equivalent of erectile dysfunction.

Miami has Projectile Dysfunction.

Leach is our little blue pill.

He’s coached at Texas Tech and Washington State.

8-9 wins at those schools is mighty impressive.

Mike Price went to two Rose Bowls in a six year span at Wazzu. Dennis Erickson found success at Wazzu, winning 9 games right before he came to Coral Gables. TTU has also had some success. Spike Dykes was doing pretty much the same thing Leach was, the only difference was that he didn't pad his numbers with the weakest OOC slates in history. When you compare their two tenures, Leach was about 1 game or so better, which could be attributed to him consistently scheduling garbage.

Erickson coached them in the 80s and Price in the 90s; look what they had been doing in the immediate past before Leach arrived.

And look at what Texas Tech has done since he left.

Like when Cal, in the middle of six losses in seven games, held Leach to 3 points. That must have been an exciting night.

Leach and Kiffin are 2 coaches you should stop creaming about...they'll never be UM guys.

Go ahead and pin point one game. You never did that when you were nuthugging Richt. Leach is likely the best coach in Washington State history. It’s a below 500 program.

If Richt was coaching Washington State what do you think there record would be? I'm pretty confident it wouldn't be better than Leach's record.

Does he get 7 years as well? If Corch Leach can’t beat the FCS after 5 years of recruiting, what makes him qualified to win now here?

Google is a wonderful thing. Leach's average wins per year is 7.7 during a 17 year career. Richt's??? 9.3 over an 18 year career. For comparison, Nick Saban has 10.1 per year (23 years), Jimbo Fisher has 9.9 per year (9 years), and Urban Meyer has 10.76 in 17 years. Dabo has 10.1 over 11 years. Throwing out the 1 hit wonders Gene Chizak and Les Miles, that is all the NC coaches since Pete at USC. Against them Richt is lacking and he has been on the same level playing field with regards to talent, resources, etc .. for most of his career as those 4 guys. Yet, 2 of those guys, with far less years put in than Richt have NC titles.
Does Richt's 1.6 more wins per year make him THAT much better a coach than Leach? I would say no. I would also say that Richt has worked with and been afforded all the talent, bells and whistles, and resources he can amass since day 1 of his head coaching career. Leach is working with far less and ALWAYS has been. At the absolute least, the talent difference, resources, etc ... cancels out that 1.6 average difference. In other words Richt is consistently making 4 star meals with 5 star ingredients and Leach is making 3 star meals with 2 star ingredients at best (since everyone likes the chef analogy's). One of them is doing more with less and it ain't Richt.
Leach might not be a better coach, but I would argue he's at least as good as Richt and it would be fun to see what he could do with Richt's budget, facilities, talent, etc ... His record says he more than likely can't do any worse.
