Why does he get no love he is an elite coach and has had prolific offenses and and defenses and seems to interact great with kids and he has a great history of bringing on great coaches

He gets mentioned.

Then someone remembers he already coaches in a Power 5 conference, actually has the ability to win his conference, makes a ton of money, has a super booster who will pay whatever it takes to keep him, AND is an alum of the school where he is coaching. Actually started at QB for them.

That usually ends the threads about Mike Gundy ...

I'm a big fan of his and have him on my "established head coaches from other programs with no ties to Miami" list.

1. Dan Mullen
2. Mike Gundy
3. Kyle Whittingham
4. Todd Graham

If we are willing to pay my thing is let's be honest ok state and Miami don't compare he's got an easier shot at a national championship here plus he's got better athletes and a chance at becoming the next jimmy Johnson

OK St has produced a couple elite guys who were stuck in the Big 12 (8) with inferior talent

He's from Oklahoma, went to high school in Oklahoma, went to college at Oklahoma State. He loves it there. He is not going to leave that situation. He is a decent head coach. Not Miami material. Wouldn't understand the culture.

He played at Okie State and has coached there for 21 of his 26 years as a coach. I doubt he'd leave for Miami.

I completely understand your perspective.

I'm just of the opinion he feels like he's in great position to be the 1st Mike Gundy, and he probably prefers that.

I would be shocked if he didn't think he and his team are just as good, if not better, than Baylor and TCU.

IMO, he can get to the playoffs from Okie State. Already proved it when he finished top 3 the year Bama and LSU played their rematch.

He's a great HC. He's on my "make him say no" list. Sometimes, when you've been somewhere as long as Gundy's been at Oklahoma State things get stale and you'd benefit from a change of scenery. On top of that, Oklahoma State doesn't have near the access to players he'd have here. Make him say no.

I'm not saying your wrong in any way I just feel like we are one of the premier places in the country we have a top qb a 8 man rotation at dline that honestly is as good as it gets and an experienced oline plus the most fertile recruiting ground this side of China lmao and we don't rebuild we reload if he wants to win and win big let's be honest Miami and okie state just don't compare

Would be a great coach at the U. Highly doubt he would take this job. he would come over only if he has NFL aspirations.
