He has his facts wrong as well. I believe Mario will only have three years remaining after this season. The cupboard and trajectory is in a much different place as well. Norvell also got two consecutive extensions. +4 years after 2022 and an additional 2 years after 2023 To take him through 2031. The second extension is the one that really bit them in the ***. On top of all that Mario has now proven himself with two rebuilds (Oregon and Miami). To conflate these scenarios is assinine.

Edit: he was right about term, Mario had a 10 yr and I was thinking 8 year original contract. Still nothing like the Norvell deal for same reasons.

Don’t read him on a regular basis, but view him as an equal opportunity offender. Recall him regularly going after the Gators & Urban.
 
The time for garbage like this to be able to influence people and have a long reach is long gone. Lazy irrational nonsensical takes like this have no audience anymore. In this super information era with all its podcasts and social media dynamics, shallow agenda driven puke like this piece by Bianci just won't cut it and certainly will not be taken seriously. This imbecile's time has been long expired.

There's more of this than ever before. It's simply changed mediums and platforms. It's not a written article on a website. It's a moron with an iPhone posting a 8-15 second video on TikTok.

Exactly... and after Mario signed, coach contracts went crazy. He was originally 10 years 80 million right? so 8 mil a year? Cignetti, Lane, Day, and Smart are all right around 13 mil. Deboer 12.5 mil, Riley 11.5, Dabo 11.5, Elko 11, Sark 11, Lanning 10, etc.

Mario wouldnt even be in the top 20 of coaches. People may still fault his game day abilities but no way Jedd Fisch, Shane Beamer, Stoops, Deon, Rhule, and Bree Bielma should be making more than Mario. Clearly he should be in the tier above.

Now you tell me we are paying him 20 mil a year, sure maybe I will say thats a bad deal but Mario is also a psycho, no doubt in my mind he donates to Canes Connection through his cousin or something to help recruiting lol

He also criticized the length of the extension but those terms haven’t been disclosed either.

I think maybe you may have missed my point. Yes there's a lot of morons with iphones posting on TikTok. My point was that there is so much competition out there that the truth will win out and lazy takes ultimately will not compete for the mind of the discerning individual.
