Bloody October…

I like Mario’s comment after last night’s game that he wanted Miami to be the most exciting team on the field. I’m paraphraseing a bit, but he wanted to see high energy and come out on fire. This seems a little bit of a change from talking about physicality. Of course he still wants to beat people up in the trenches but he doesn’t want to be dominating a game yet the opponent still has the game in reach in the third or fourth quarter.

Winning is always the main pre-requisite, but I really think that Miami/Mario fully understands the sports and entertainment aspect of this. Again, my vision for this program is the 80's Showtime Lakers. Substance AND style melded together..
 
This is why the caveman comments need to be full stop. What you are seeing over the last 3 years is Mario evolve.
1. Hinders QB's - completely incorrect. Miami now a top destination for top QB's.
2. Caveman football - This changed after the SMU game. Mario saw the light and understands we need to put on a show for the committee. He also learned that ACC refs are out to ***** us no matter what and we better put as many points on the board as possible. Previously Mario would have never thrown the ball in the 4th quarter against FAMU. You saw that happened last night. Same could probably have been said about Stanford. Although one guy said before that game that Mario hates Stanford and will always run up the score against them. When we drop 50 on WF you will know this is the new Mario and the new Miami.

i think after SMU and after barely get into the CFB playoff, he realized that we need to flash and score, not just eek out wins.

Didn’t they help get us into the AAU?

From his days at Oregon. An ESPN broadcaster, who is a Stanford alum, predicted we would win by 35. Reason being that Mario doesn’t like them. He was right lol.
