nah ... and we were down poyser ... but would like my dc to have the awareness to get the guy that led all freshman in interceptions as the high safety at minimum in that case or even better, keep two high and make them earn it ... but i agree a D is crazy ... i'd say C or C+

If our run defense wasn’t so high, I would agree with a C+. Right now I’m about a low B. I’m also allowing for the injury curve.

Thornton is tough to watch. One play he comes in like a missile and makes a great play. Next one he’s knocking Xavier Lucas out of the way for a 75 yard TD.

Please understand I am not totally serious. Only partial.

Of teams with a pulse (Clemson, FSU, Wake) that we have played, not happy with half #2 of Wake and a lot of this FSU game except quarter #4.

This FSU game made me really angry at the coaches. It was malpractice to get out coached by Norvell and staff.

But we won, so we move on and hope this past game will shake these coaches to their core.

Brutal. Don’t understand the play call by Heatherman but Thornton is god awful in those spots in space. Tough to watch

QB: A (would have been an A+, but really did not like what I saw in the FSU game)
RB: A+ (the amount of extra yards and loss avoidance that has happened here is incredibly, really)
TE: B+ (Blocking has greatly improved; still disagree with how this position is used on passing downs)
WR: B+ (Would like to see 4WR in more situations than 3rd and 10+. Think we're still missing an opportunity there)
OT: B+ (Didn't love what I saw against FSU and there are some hiccups in the run game)
IOL: C (average is probably curved up, but there have been some bad moments and you can see what defenses are doing now)
DE: B+ (partly because of how teams have game planned against us, but we're underperforming)
DT: B+ (I think it's time to leave one of these guys in on 3rd down; the 3rd and long packages are stale. Would like to see more disruption from two potential 1st round picks)
LB: B (run game, great, pass game, no bueno)
CB: A- (considering injuries)
S/N: D+ (partly on Hetherman and whatever is claimed to be watched on Greentree. This position is working against us right now)
K: N/A
P: N/A

Why not grade on K and P? K has been very solid and P sucks aside from the good punt late in the game this past week. Returns probably a N/A since everything gets called back.
