If they fire JD...then who??
Here’s the problem. You either have it and you complete each year or you don’t have it and struggle to keep up.Gotta be careful with these types. Yeah, they'll bring in money and modernize the operation, but they also tend to take the game from the fans and in favor of a more "premium" experience. Don't be surprised to see significant increases in ticket prices and season tickets. Hope I'm wrong on that front and will happily admit so if it turns out I am.
On the other end, we definitely will be on the forefront of NIL and revenue deals. Recruiting will go to another dimension.
As long as an actual search and process is completed, and candidates are interviewed, I’ll trust the resulting hire. I don’t have anyone in mind right now, but it’s clear JD is not it.If they fire JD...then who??
Cartel members didn’t dime out to YahooThe music CEO of rocnation is literally a former FBI informant and cartel member. She was pardoned by Trump in 2021. Willis McGahee isn’t allowed on campus because of his affiliation with Nev Shapiro. However Miami will align with cartel members. The hypocrisy is loud.
Sox fans will charter a private jet for him

You're right. If you want to join a conference with inferior resources, matchups, recruiting footprint, and playoff access then we just gotta agree to disagree. And no ACC school worth any will go there either. You dont spend $75M+ on a conference change to make a lateral or worse move. You can’t help me. I don’t think we would go to the big 12 but I wish we would. … with some of the better ACC schools
That is partially why I made the post -- not sure what is not working in Boston right now, but as Yankees fan, I am ok with it.Sox fans will charter a private jet for him
Are we talking CAA on a larger scale or Boras Corporation in an individual sport?Who’s the gold standard?
I was just asking what your opinion was; because i noticed you specifically cited Roc Nation’s work with Robinson Cano before hating on Roc Nation at large. Are we talking CAA on a larger scale or Boras Corporation in an individual sport?
“The University of Maryland was not too far from my home in West Orange, New Jersey, and knowing what I wanted to do from a career perspective, being—at that time—at an ACC school with proximity to Washington, D.C. was really important to me,” said Yormark.
Yormark’s foresight ultimately paid off. While participating in UMD’s Federal Work-Study program, Yormark took a part-time position in the University of Maryland Athletics’ sports information department, staffed basketball and football games, and got to connect with basketball coaching greats Lefty Driesell and Bob Wade, and former athletic director Lew Perkins.
Perkins introduced Yormark to the Washington, D.C. team of ProServ, one of the nation’s first sports marketing agencies where Yormark went on to intern during his senior year.
“Having the exposure of the ACC and getting firsthand experience in marketing and PR and communications within the sports industry was a dream come true,” he said. “And my internship my senior year is what really reinforced exactly what I wanted to do in my career; and, quite frankly, it paved the way for my acceptance into Ohio University to get my master’s.”
That conference with miami and a couple other schools would see a big change resource-wise. The B1G is not a good place for us. They’d **** down our taking their players in the portal and put all kinds of restraints on us real fast. Wisconsin, Ohio State, Michigan lolYou're right. Unfortunately for Cano, he didn’t collect full value of the contract & leaving NY for Seattle wasn’t a smart move in retrospect. Can’t speak for improvements or advancements, but ROC Nation’s crisis management efforts have been awful at times, particularly as related to Cano & A-Rod. Desiree Perez did no favors.I was just asking what your opinion was; because i noticed you specifically cited Roc Nation’s work with Robinson Cano before hating on Roc Nation at large.
Roc Nation Sports started off with two year partnership with CAA; during this time is when Robinson signed with the Mariners. Ergo, why i find your critique of them peculiar given this information…and your citation of CAA in response to my question.

CAA Sports And Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Team For Athlete Management
LOS ANGELES/NEW YORK (April 2, 2013) – Roc Nation, a full-service entertainment company founded by Shawn “JAY Z” Carter, announced today the launch of Roc Nation Sports, a full-service sports management company, and has signed MLB All-Star Robinson Cano of the New York Yankees. They’re far more advanced as a company now than they were when the partnership ended in 2015.
Still, I never called them the gold standard and was responding to a false claim that their business was teetering on total collapse—as initiated by Yormack. He additionally has ACC experience.
I should’ve listened to @E1k and known this about some rap **** lolUnfortunately for Cano, he didn’t collect full value of the contract & leaving NY for Seattle wasn’t a smart move in retrospect. Can’t help wonder if Miami alum Ron Berkowitz is among those pushing Yormack. Only say it based on ties to Miami, A-Rod & ROC Nation. Regardless, let’s hope there’s some due diligence & a serious search.
