Michael Irvin undergoes tests for throat cancer...

Throat cancer took MCA and that **** still hurts. But the Playmaker is tough as nails. I have faith that no matter what the problem is, he'll come out stronger.

I hope its benign and no thing there. The Playmaker is the quintessential Cane and had more Heart than anyone. Gave 0 fvcks and always played with a chip. 150% Heart and soul. Godspeed and prayers.

his dad died of the same thing at 51 as per Mike's IG post, so sounds like there are some genetics involved. i gotta admit that when i saw his picture in the hospital and read his post, i got real ducked up about it. no other former UM players personifies the U more than Mike, his toughness, his winning, his swag. he truly is the U's emblem. i wish him godspeed and good health.

Fastest 4.7 WR ever. ;)

Hopefully its nothing.
That 4.7 took care of business on this play, with my *** in attendance....

Sorry if this is a dumb question but if it comes back bengin then what next?

If benign it's non cancerous. They may elect to watch "it", but with a family history, they may remove it.

Hopefully, it hasn't spread and it's not HPV.

Sounds like he came out with a clean bill of health. I don’t know what his habits are, but if he drinks and smokes, now is a really good time to quit.

No smoking of any kind. Not cigarettes, not cigars, not blunts...NOTHING. No tobacco products in the mouth either.

A scare like this can sometimes quickly change our bad habits. I quite smoking 5 years ago when I had to have a pacemaker. Delighted to hear no cancer for Michael.
