Michael Irvin II out for season

We're about to see what Jordan and Mallory are made of.

I would've liked for them to have been transitioned slowly given our 1st game is in Dallas against LSU.

But, sometimes being thrown to the fire brings out the best in people.

I'm sure I'll get Negged to death and rightfully so for going a bit off topic but...

I'm not sure why we didn't grab a grad transfer this cycle for insurance purposes. TE is a very demanding position and we had zero depth, and a lot of unknowns.

Hope he heals up and can help us down the stretch!
 
Sad that Michael missed his opportunity to shine. Come back son, get your degree and make something of yourself not having to do with football.
 
I wish Irvin a full, complete and speedy recovery and also a blessed future

In the meantime, I hope Jordan and Mallory will keep that TE seat hot

Probably SO hot that they'll be the only one's using it for a while

We don't have zero depth at the position. That was last year once Herndon went down.

This time we actually have a modicum of talent at the position. Problem is, it's unproven.

But a transfer or JUCO TE probably wasn't going to net anything better than Irvin was.

Oh boy that’s unfortunate. We’ll be okay but still hurts due to our thin depth.

This is sad news because now the freshmen will have to play and they will be better so I don't think Irvin will start for us at TE again, I wanted him to have his shot to shine and improve. Oh well next man up!!!
 
I have full faith in the two headed monster of Jordan and Mallory. But on obvious running downs or goal line situations, could we bring in our 6th best olineman and put them at TE? Scaife, Reed, Campbell, whoever?
